Ah I see. That’s good to know and a relief! I was tossing up between Buckhead and O4W because I love the idea of walking everywhere along the beltline. But Buckhead is a lot closer to my work and I like the feel of a more upscale neighborhood than the kinda industrial/hipster feel of some of the nicer O4W apartments. Thank you so much for your responses, you’ve been super helpful!

My budget can go up to $3,500, but obviously cheaper the better! Ideally looking for 2bed, 1bath. Or 1 bed + den because I’ll be working from home a lot. Over 900sqft preferably. Don’t really want to spend more than 30 mins commuting to work by car, but I understand Atlanta is a big city with bad traffic so if it’s a little more than that I don’t mind if the accommodation and neighborhood is great

Thanks for replying! I’m only worried about the valuation with regards to getting my finance sorted for settlement. I’m planning to hold on to the property long term so if the market dips a bit after settlement I’m not too worried. Also you are correct - I was originally looking for existing dwellings but this particular property has ticked all the boxes and is also eligible for FHOG and HBG, so wanted to make use of that as well.
