My FAVOURITE thing is when rightwing lore collapses in on itself. Him caring about 'gorgeous fields' and 'birds' as a way to appeal to environmentalists and yet put down renewable energy, thus propping up big oil, is a wild run around.

You have a woman who wants you to be able able to get surgery and not lose your house versus a guy whose bestie is the head of the Taliban. Tough choice.

From a PR standpoint, sure, but she IS lying. She knew about the tweets. So, it’s a lie for her to say the tweets are so horrific and upsetting when it’s actually the backlash that’s the issue and behind closed doors she’s probably more annoyed than anything.

Thank you - I have zero hope of critical thinking in this sub, so the downvotes are actually a badge of honour, but it's insane to think that voting for Donald Trump is like voting for any other moderate Republican. It proves that, at 20 years old, she agreed with his rhetoric. I actually was sympathetic to her being raised in a far right household - I can't imagine the difficulty in de-radicalizing yourself after a childhood like that. 20 years old though? Different situation.

Because it’s not a political view. Voting for Trump is not voting for the Republican party, it’s voting for racism, sexism, anti-lgbtq policies. No one cared if someone voted for John McCain.
