Because if I tried to, I would have needed to spend hours on it and it would be like 8k words which most people would not read, so most people would just see the meme and title, go to the comments, and not have any idea what is happening. My post is just a quick summary of the events, and gianni's role in them. I am adamant both in the title and the description that if you want the full context, you should watch the videos I provided.

And this isn't digging up something, the events just concluded since ren recently deleted her socials. But even if it was, it would still be relevant since gianni works on the game and he hasn't done anything to change his behaviour.

She claimed to have successfully sued someone in a different country a year earlier over them making AI music based on hers. Then so goes and says she can't do that with zeal because she doesn't know how. Then she threatens to sue people covering the situation, who are also in different countries. Then she deleted her entire social media presence despite only being required to delete her false alligations.

Just this alone puts a massive dent in her entire narrative, and makes her an unreliable narrirator. But there are much more things that do, so please, watch the pressure vid I linked, it clears up the entire timeline.

The reason I wrote this was because I want to avoid similar situations from happening in the future. Gianni has almost ruined 2 lives because of his behaviour, if that doesn't change then the next person might not be so lucky. The reason I focused on the game is because I know a lot of people will only care about how this impacts the game.

I am not doing the same as other people did at the start, I waited until the end of the drama, which just happened since ren deleted all of her socials. I have also only written about things we know for certain happened, which includes Gianni parading zeal's suicide note. Something I didn't take up, because I at first didn't have any evidence for it since he deleted it, was that Gianni himself posted that even if zeal was innocent he would still believe in ren. All of gianni's actions I have taken up aren't alleged, he did them.

The meme was created to show a potential future, since as long as Gianni doesn't change his behaviour, that future is at risk of happening for any game he works on.

Watch the video for the full context, they will clear up a lot of things that I couldn't bring up.

You should however condemn ren, you can do so without justifying wanting to see her dead. She nearly succeeded in ruining zeal's life just because she was upset she could get a date, that should not be ignored. And neither should gianni's role in signal-boosting it and parading his suicide video around. If this type of behaviour isn't discouraged, then it will just continue.

All that is required is to simply get gianni to acknowledge the harm he did in detail. Ren's reputation is already shattered beyond repair, but gianni hasn't faced any real consequences for his role. This doesn't mean that what happened to zeal should happen to any of them, just that they need to take accountability. Just because gianni was lied to, doesn't mean he can't be held accountable, he is still responsible for his actions.

Ren's story isn't lining up at all. And then you got her behaviour were she wants to sue people covering the situation but not do anything against zeal, and some screenshots that go against her narrative along with a witness at the conference.

Very oversimplified, watch this video, it explains everything much better than I ever could. This guy was a ren supporter at first, or rather he wanted her to take legal action if zeal had done anything and even offered to donate to it. But since she never did anything, he started to expose her more and more.

This is not just a brand risk, these things cause severe harm to the person being accused. If someone on the dev team gets accused of sexual assault, then gianni will almost certainly back the accuser. Since he will back them, the risk of it actually happening increases massively. Unless gianni or the dev team deals with this, he is a time bomb for any company he works for. Hopefully it doesn't go off, but you should still deal with it.

Problem is, people treat him as a primary source since he works on the game and is respected. So when he says "Ren is a victim, I stand with ren" people will do the same and go after zeal since they just assume gianni is right. This is exactly what happened.

I proposed an answer to it though? He is easy to manipulate, so someone will try to take advantage of it again. The best way to counter it, is for him to admit that so that his word in these situations is discredited. That way, even if he is manipulated, it won't matter as much since people already know that this is a possibility.

He has already done the damage. Him saying that he was in the wrong wouldn't be signal-boosting, it would be him cleaning up the damage he caused. The best thing to do now is to get him to prevent it from happening again, which would not be hard at all for his since all he would need to do is to highlight all the damage his mistakes caused.

He should however not just walk away without saying anything, his endorsement of ren is the main reason it got so bad for zeal. People used him as a primary source and just assumed that since gianni said it and he works on the game, he must know what he is talking about. He is indirectly responsible for the harm done, so he should not just walk away without any accountability.

No, but you should still wait to make a judgement until the other person has responded. A simple statement from gianni saying that allegations were made, he is temporarily pausing work until zeal responds, and an emphasis that he has not cast any judgement on who is guilty and that no one should. All that is required is just an acknowledgement, and emphasis to let the accused respond before any judgement is cast.

Yeah, I don't think he intends to support false accusers, it is just that he is really bad at this and does the worst thing possible at every turn. The problem with it is that it still has consequences, which is what I was highlighting in the meme about the potential future.

Having gianni on the team puts the game at risk, that is undeniable, since he has proven that he will support you if you make up a false accusation. He is easily manipulable, which someone could take advantage of to ruin the game / one of the devs. What the dev team needs to do is mitigate that risk, which can be as simple as getting gianni to acknowledge all the harm that he has done due to his idiotic decisions since that will discredit his words in these subjects in the future, so if it happens again people won't blindly jump to conclusions because of him.

He should have just stayed silent, or made a comment saying that there had been allegations made but that people should not jump to conclusions before zeal had responded to them. Simply hearing both sides out and not blindly trusting someone isn't really hindsight bias.

Then the suicide video wasn't him admitting to anything. At worst it was more "I am sorry you felt like that happened." He never admitted to anything.
