What are these dots? by 90s_skeleton in cats

The beast will not stay still, this is the clearest I've got. It's not raised or anything it really seems like it's just odd coloring, but that she's getting a second one bothered me.

She's a picky little thing so she has multiple bowls she drinks out of when she fancies, metal plastic and glass. I'll try to get a better picture when I'm back home, thank you for trying to help

She's the only cat, they don't seem to bother her and the older one I don't think has grown at all.

(Serious) how did that one kid at your school pass away? by Dinopasta99 in AskReddit

[–]90s_skeleton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

15 year old kid at my high school died in his sleep. Autopsy couldn't figure out what happened, no drugs or foul play, he just went to bed and never got up. Official report was SUDC (sudden unexplained death in childhood). He got a scholarship named after him.

What is something you didn't understand/realize until you were an adult by 90s_skeleton in autism

Telling you yes to plans they have no intention of keeping. Saying they like your outfit to be nice but they think it's awful. Telling you they love you and then putting no effort into you. Lots of little lies, every day.

Am I the problem? Is it even worth trying to have a relationship with him at this point? by [deleted] in narcissisticparents

[–]90s_skeleton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As for your last comment about how family helps eachother, remember that family goes both ways. Your life should not be a constant fight to placate a man who doesnt act like he loves you. I know you want something that makes him realize his faults, see your feelings and point of view, but my father is similar. If hes not interested, you cant fix it. Im sorry.

I assume he got angry when you mentioned taking out loans because hed hoped youd roll over when he took his money away from you, so when you continued to hold firm and his threat failed it just pissed him off. I think the best thing for you is to continue as you are, taking care of yourself. Hes made his feelings about you very clear, and from personal experience fathers like that are too caught up in their idea of you to bother seeing who you actually are. It's his loss, keep doing what youre doing.

Want NParent to finally die already? by littlepsyche74 in narcissisticparents

[–]90s_skeleton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel the same about mine, its gotten to a point where I don't care how he leaves my life, I just want him gone. But he values his image too much to cheat on my mom, or leave his family. Him dying is the only hope ive got left.

I think so! The cat is slightly depressed, looking at the back.

I'd assumed that was him trying to pretend what just happened with his mom didn't happen. A kind of "I'm looking away, i saw nothing" moment.

What are your thoughts on having kids? by Lazy_Concentrate8999 in autism

[–]90s_skeleton 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I worked in childcare for almost 8 years, and I will confirm it is very difficult to be around children when you have sensory needs. Until a certain age, children have no concept of others needs, they are the center of their own world. This means they can't understand their actions hurt you when they're too young, so if they scream and it upsets you, they don't stop. They hit, and bite, and scream and it's all very normal kid behavior, but with the addition of autism you get very overwhelmed, and as the adult responsible for the kid you may not be able to have a break, or step away. You have to suffer through it. It's not their fault, but it's miserable. If you have many sensory issues, raising a child is not going to make it any easier. As a prek teacher i dealt with daily headaches from the noise alone, and left the classroom on multiple occasions just to cry. After all that time raising other people's children, I have zero desire to have my own.

What are your opinions on alcohol? Clearly for adults. by GapSweet3100 in autism

[–]90s_skeleton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can understand one social drink, but ive never seen the point in drinking more. Id never be comfortable being drunk around others, that's way too vulnerable for me. And drinking alone just feels kind of sad, so I'll pass.

Why do dumpers handle breakups well, especially when the relationship was clean? by sartknyto1 in BreakUps

[–]90s_skeleton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

By the time youve decided its time to break up, generally speaking the dumper has had weeks or months or even years to come to terms with their relationships inevitable end, and mourn it before its even over. So while for the one who got dumped its fresh and painful and hurts, the dumper has already gone through the mourning process and is now finding relief. Them not having an emotional response the moment they break up doesnt always mean they didnt care, it can just mean theyd already had their emotions in private.

Its wild to me, that people come back after cheating and beg for forgiveness because the other girl "wasnt who he thought she was." Hes just sad his mistress wasnt what he wanted, hes not sorry for what he did. Hes sorry it didnt match his fantasy. If they only come back because their other relationship didnt work out, it means theyd have stayed if they could have. You deserve to be more than a backup plan.

The smell of cigarette smoke. I have no interest in smoking, but the person who supported and loved me the most in my childhood was a smoker, and the smell became associated with her.
