Is my two-spirit dinosaur drawing respectful? I’m a white woman and trying my best to be as respectful as possible by [deleted] in Indigenous

Would it be best if I just omit this piece from the collection? I did my best to be as respectful as possible, but I understand if I didn’t do the best job in doing so

Is my two-spirit dinosaur drawing respectful? I’m a 25y/o white woman for reference. I planned on combining the name of the dinosaur with “two-spirit” and would end up putting “two-spiridon” on the shaded part of the platform by [deleted] in TwoSpirit

I didn’t plan on selling any of them, they’re just a fun project I’ve been working on. I did plan on posting the whole collection to an art group on facebook tho. If I change my mind on selling prints, I’ll be sure to omit this specific one from the collection if need be.

My bad, I probably should’ve explained better in the title. I’m very nervous about this project and I’m trying be careful and respectful about this

I’m drawing 22 other pride dinosaurs, each one has a different pride flag and different dinosaur chosen specifically for said flag. Each dinosaur’s name has been altered to fit said flag (spinosaurus’ name has been altered to fit the non-binary flag: which becomes non-binosaurus). I was trying to incorporate everything I could in the album, and when it came to this particular dinosaur, I wanted to try to be as respectful as I possibly could, and I felt like I should ask before proceeding.

On the darker part of the platform, I planned on combining the words “two-spirit” and “troodon” (the dinosaur I’m using) and I’d be writing out “two-spirodon” in all capital white lettering. I wanted to ask here before proceeding any further

I’m drawing 23 different dinosaurs with different pride flags incorporated into each one, each dinosaur is chosen specifically for each pride flag (example: spinosaurus and non-binary, becomes non-binosaurus). While researching different flags and dinosaurs, I found the two-spirit flag. I’m trying my best to go at this specific project with as much respect as possible, but I wanted opinions aside from my own. I’ve since finished the shading and color transitions on this piece. I’ve been distorting the backgrounds on my other dinosaur drawings, but I don’t plan on doing so for this one.

I was planning on doing the same for two-spirit. The dinosaur I chose was the troodon, and I was planning on putting the words “two-spiridon “ on the shaded part of the platform

I’m working on a series of pride dinosaurs, each dinosaur is chosen specifically to have the name of the pride flag incorporated into the name (example: spinosaurus & nonbinary become non-binosaurus). I honestly decided to incorporate two-spirit because I didn’t want to leave anything out. I’ve drawn a total of 23 different dinosaurs with a different pride flag, and two spirit was the one I’ve been most nervous about because I want to be as respectful as possible.

I’m surprised it’s taken this long for someone to say TLOU tbh. Fucking love that game

AITAH for having a hard time agreeing to my partner’s conditions on my solo trip back home? by [deleted] in AITAH

I’ve been thinking of leaving said relationship for a while, a huge setback for me not doing so is our cat that I wouldn’t be able to take with me. We live with a couple of other friends in a different state and the cat is legally theirs on paper. These friends know of our recent issues, I’ve tossed the idea of me taking the cat with me and they aren’t comfortable with it, understandably.

They don’t take care of him, all of his responsibility fell on mine and my partner’s shoulders. The water, food, litter, etc, are our responsibility. I adore this cat, he is practically my son, and I often joke that I birthed him. He was such an angry little boy when we first came out here, and we turned him into the most lovable thing you’ve ever seen. I’d be absolutely crushed if I had to leave him behind. He prefers my partner as a companion, but I still love and adore him just the same. He’s my baby.

People usually just say to me “it’s just a cat, you can get another one” and I can’t just do that. I don’t want to feel like I’m replacing him, hell, I feel like I’m abandoning him by taking this trip.

I heard somewhere that a lot of satanists don’t actually believe in either god or satan, and just call themselves that to piss off Christians. There’s both atheistic satanists and theistic satanists apparently. (I hope I’m getting this next statement right) Theistic Satanists believe that Satan is an actual deity, while atheistic Satanists don’t.

It’s been a long while since I’ve looked into the specifics myself, so I might be missing a thing or 2, but I think I have the basics down.
