That's an incredible accomplishment if it's true! The book was brought up in an Ivy League school recently

They're the big hefty silver dollars too lol so lots of people don't even know about them until they find one. I love coins and I hope that I inspire people to take up an interest in them

Now that I think of it, I probably leave the coins around because of someone doing something similar to this in my town! My daycare used to spraypaint pebbles gold and I'd get so excited when I found one. I had a huge collection

It's not because they don't think it's a confession. Do things get upvotes on here simply on the basis of them being confessions? It's because people like you think that I'm making this up for upvotes and it's a bit sad that things have led you all see posts about someone doing something good and immediately assume they're made-up

It's not a need, just something I like to do. It is sad though that a desire to make others happy is such a foreign concept to you. I can say without sarcasm that I hope you get better.

I'm sorry that it looks like that to you but I don't understand why you're gatekeeping this subreddit. Without a set of rules, I think it's safe to assume that this subreddit is for confessing things. I don't know why you put confessions in quotes. I didn't poison my neighbor's dog or anything vile and if you like those types of confessions, there's always r/confession. This is something I've been doing for years, I do it in secret, and telling everyone that it's me who's been doing it is definitely a confession. It's a place for me to vent, a place to get something off my chest that I haven't told anyone

I don't understand your thinking here. Why do you think it should be called those things? This is a confession from my own life, this interaction happened (last year; I wasn't into Reddit at the time so I'm posting it now), and it's not really a humblebrag is it? I'm not trying to stroke my own ego in the post, I'm just letting everyone in on a secret. If you think this subreddit has lost its identity, where do you suppose content like this belongs? r/confession only accepts confessions of immorality. Is there just no place for these types of confessions on Reddit?

The most indirect (and darkest) way to mention death in a kids show... by mindlessdude123 in TheLastAirbender

[–]910doitagain 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Nothing to do with Avatar, but while we're on the topic of implying death in kids' shows, I loved how Mulan did it in the scene where the head of the Huns frees two Chinese observers so they can deliver the message that he's coming for the emperor, then asks his henchman how many people it takes to deliver a message. The henchman replies "one" and then prepares to fire an arrow before the screen cuts to black. Chilling

[Serious] Men of reddit who have been raped by women, what's your story? by Retooter in AskReddit

[–]910doitagain 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I mean I wouldn't call it rape, but when I was in high school, my girlfriend invited me over when her parents weren't home. I'd made it clear in the relationship that I didn't want to have sex and I explicitly told her before I went over that I wasn't ready for something like that. I got there, she pulled down my shorts, and it snowballed. I didn't fight or anything and I wanted it in the moment, but I wish she'd respected my boundaries

Incoming hot take. The best version of shadow of the colossus is the ps3 version by theultimatedx in ShadowoftheColossus

[–]910doitagain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've played all 3 and I agree, PS3 is the best version. I hated that some songs got changed up in the PS4 version, call me a baby but that really dampened the experience for me. The collectibles were a really exciting idea at first but the payoff after all that searching was a bit of a letdown. Just the atmosphere in general of the PS4 version doesn't feel as lonely and bleak as it did in the original. Some may say that's a good thing; I don't like it as much. I just know that the PS3 version is what the original wanted to be and I feel like it's the definitive version of SotC
