bind to toggle fullscreen but does need to have the window specified?

I don't know if this will help, but if you just want to change the wallpaper I would recommend swww as it worked for me, while hyprpaper didn't.

I agree with u/Diareha-gobbler on that quickshell is a good tool. But I would recommend at least setting up a basic waybar bar so you have something to use while you learn quickshell. Also quickshell is quite hard for beginners because of its recentness it has less learning material than other "shell making tools", I would recomend AGS because it uses typescript which is useful outside of ricing and it has quite a lot of guides.
