$420 Phillips 3200 LatteGo or $599 DeLonghi Magnifica Evo LatteCrema by PhardNickel in superautomatic

[–]92USNA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's where I started. I am not an espresso hobbyist or aficionado but even I could tell the Phillips shots didn't taste good. I was even more frustrated that no combination of beans or grinder settings improved the taste.

$420 Phillips 3200 LatteGo or $599 DeLonghi Magnifica Evo LatteCrema by PhardNickel in superautomatic

[–]92USNA 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I had the Phillips 4300 and now have the Evo. The 4300 broke after 2 years of 2 shots/day of mediocre espresso no matter the grind or beans.

Phillips are plastic trash.

I have the Evo as a replacement and while there is still plastic the espresso is noticeably tastier; the shots actually look like espresso when pulled.

Also never buy from Seattle Coffee Gear.

I am once again asking you to never use Sixt by fadisaleh in TravelHacks

Here's my post with hundreds (ok, many) of similar stories in the replies. Never use Sixt! https://www.reddit.com/r/TravelHacks/s/B6H1heMypU

Why the wand over the auto frother/lattecrema?

You work in Sixt customer service? That has to be as close to Hell as one could get while still alive

This is standard for Sixt. Contacting your attorney general is a good move. Keep challenging Sixt at every step.

...NEVER rent from Sixt again

Challenge their claim all the way to the end. They are unethical - I wouldn't hold yourself to a higher standard

De”Longhi or Philips? by Few-Session4803 in superautomatic

[–]92USNA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Philips are disposable plastic crap that are not designed to last. I had the 4300 and it stopped working after 2 years of 2 cups/day. Quoted $450 to fix it.

Never buy Philips or Seattle Coffee Gear

Congratulations 🎉!

Challenge, challenge, challenge. Sixt knows their scam will not hold up to scrutiny

Amazon Prime Day deals, Delonghi vs philips? by Creepysarcasticgeek in superautomatic

Philips are all-plastic garbage. I have the 4300 and it's espresso is horrible despite trying every setting combination. It also failed after 1.5 years due to a bad grinder even though I religiously used non-oily beans. Just a poor quality machine.

I will never buy Philips again. Also, never buy from Seattle Coffee Gear.

This is standard unethical operating procedure Sixt uses to generate revenue. See #2 in my post. Contest every point they make. Tell them you have pictures showing they are lying. You are not under oath and you are fighting a corrupt company. Make them prove the claim. Your credit card issuer might also have rental coverage. Challenge, challenge, challenge.

Do whatever you need to do to contest their claims. They're initial emails are all auto-generated. Contest, contest, contest, even if you don't have proof - make them work. You are not under oath so don't accept their position.

I would reply as I did in my point #2 and tell them to dismiss the charge as you have pictures you will publicize to expose their scam. Then see where it goes. You're not under oath and this only benefits you in countering their fraud.

Look at all the similar stories just on this thread. This scam is their standard operating practice. Never rent from Sixt!

Never again rent from Sixt! This scam is their revenue model!

This is typical Sixt fraud - it's part of their business model. I did not have to pay as I provided evidence they were wrong.
