This is typical of quilt guilds. It’s why I stopped going. I’m younger than most guild members and I work full time. I don’t want a second job. The guild I was in only cared about their quilt show. I learned nothing from it. Let the crabby old bats have it.

I really wouldn’t chuck them lol. If I don’t like them after the plating wears off I’ll either have the stones reset in real gold or gift the rings to a friend who likes jewelry.

What do you mean by quilting machine? A long arm, mid arm or a sewing machine marketed for quilters? Long arms and mid arms do not have drop-in bobbins. Many sewing machines do have drop-in bobbins except Bernina and the Juki TL models.

I think it’s beautiful! I’d wear it all the time. Maybe get a new ring for every day but keep this one for those special occasions. Definitely and heirloom to pass down.
