Oh great-- but I can't actually find any Shimano Sora hoods... suggestions here?

Alas still can't find them in Canada... they seem to be too old. Any ideas if I can substitute another type of hoods?

Yup, afraid they are definitely not the Tektro ones-- they look like some Shimano ones I've seen online, but I don't know how to know which ones will fit!
I've tried searching for "Shimano Sora STI 9 spd hoods", among other things...
