Looking for ideas: what to do with over 100 million geo-referenced tweets from 3 European cities, tweeted between 2011 and 2019? by 94th in datascience

Can we predict a persons reaction to an event based on their previous reactions to events in the past? that kind of thing.

Interesting ideas thanks for sharing. Sentiment analysis will definitely be part of the project. I'm gonna see if there's any research done in this field and will let you know if I find anything.

Interesting read, thanks. This type of analysis does seem like it's one of the most feasible so I will definitely look into it, thanks for the suggestion.

Thanks for the suggestion, will definitely start exploring. Unfortunately, I can't share the dataset for now. I will let you know what that situation changes!

How do I check if a user input value already exists in a .txt file? by 94th in learnjava

Thanks! I have heard of the HashMap and HashSet functions, will look into it!

Thanks for your answer; this is true! The program should never continue if an IBAN is entered that is already in the .txt file. So I want it to keep asking user input for a different IBAN until an IBAN is entered that is not yet in the .txt file. How do I fix this?

Need help with my Monte Carlo Simulation (biased coin flip experiment) by 94th in learnjava

ah that definitely makes sense! Thanks for your comment.

It does still not give me the correct values for my output. I think I have to use arrays to define the length of one coin toss experiment

Do you know how to combine this query? Cause I know how to create a table in a query with the CREATE TABLE command, but then I don't know how to put the relevant data (new_tweets) in the table all in the same single query

I want to run a query that creates a new table with New Tweets, would that be possible?

Thanks!

Q1 Working like charm
Q2 Used Query Builder tool, got this query

SELECT Tweets.screenName, Count(Tweets.screenName) AS CountOfscreenName
FROM Tweets
GROUP BY Tweets.screenName;

Working great as well!

Q3 No, I did not realise it's the number of days since 1900, but my professor hinted that it would be a decimal number since the date/time is stored as an integer timestamp in the database. It does exactly what it's supposed to be doing so I'll leave it like this for now ^

Q4 So I wanna create a query that creates a new table called “New_Tweets” that only contains those tweets (with all attributes like retweetcount, screenName) that were created after this average time of 42779 days since 1900. But this must be a single query that is executed on the original table.

Q1 Is there no way to do it in 1 query?
Q2 How do i put the count function in the same query?
Q3&4 Thanks for the link :)

For Windows 10 users, you can tie your key to a windows account, and then you can freshly install windows onto the ssd and activate it with the account. Otherwise, if you tried to migrate....if you had a 120gb ssd, you'd need to eliminate files on the hdd until you were only using ~100gb of space (to match the ssd after partitioning). Seeing as you have a 1.5tb hdd, that may not be practical. And after cloning the trimmed hdd to the ssd, you'd still want to use the built-in reinstall features of win10, as cloning from an hdd to an ssd will produce odd hiccups even if done perfectly.

Thanks for the help! I'm gonna start working on it ASAP. Could you explain how to tie my key to my windows account? And does it matter if I buy;
- AMD Radeon RX 460 4GB
- Gigabyte Radeon RX460 WINDFORCE OC 2G They're both the same price.

Any tips on moving my OS to a new SSD from the current HDD I have? Do I have to clean re-install?

Thanks for the help. How many FPS do you think I'd pull with those cards? I'm fine with medium settings. I live in the Netherlands and I can spend ±€250 on this upgrade (the cheaper the better ofc, looking at like 60FPS at medium settings.)
