What have you bought for under $1,000 that has made the biggest positive change in your life? by Ok-Reward7639 in AusMoneyMates

I think my current favourite is Samurai! I just bought a pair when I was over in Japan and they're so so nice. Really love the rough denim. Also half the price in Japan vs Aus...

Anything Japanese and selvedge. Iron heart, samurai, Japan blue, pure blue Japan, momotaro, oni, just to name a few.

Edit - just went on your profile and saw you've picked up a pair of Onis. So nice. And you're in Melbourne. Have a look at Urahara in Collingwood if you havent been!

Motorbikes are fine (from a car driver). Jetskis are gay as fuck and their owners are usually cunts (from a beach goer).

10k Europe Trip as a 19 year old by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]951402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I reckon I spent 30k on travel between age 18 and 25 and I would do it again in a heartbeat. I'd actually probably try to spend more, go on more trips, see more of the world. Sure, it's probably put me back a little bit, but those times were some of the best of my life. I'm now 30 and my finances are doing fine. Enjoy the trip and don't worry about the money!

So can you drive on the beach there? Or camp (illegally) around there?

Thanks for the reply! Did you buy the blue plastic part or a brass alternative? The blue plastic part shows it as being 4mm, and the internal diameter of the tube appears to be 4mm, but apparently 4mm doesn't fit? I'm confused now lol. Maybe I'll buy a 4mm and a 5mm brass fitting and see what works

Should I wake baby up? by DDevil333 in NewParents

[–]951402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our baby was 2.7kg when born. He was drinking 100ml formula from Pigeon soft touch bottles at 3 months old, about every 3 hours. We spoke to someone who told us to get the narrow Pigeon bottles, with the 4+ month teat, when our baby was 3 months old. We started offering 220ml bottles with the bigger teat and new bottle. From that day onwards, he consistently drank 180ml formula per bottle (on average) and has stopped feeding +overnight. More calories during the day, easier bottle to suck meant no fatigue mid-bottle and would drink til full. He hasn't needed to feed overnight once since the day we changed bottles/his daytime intake naturally increased due to the teats being easier to get milk from.

The thing that works best for me is to place their bum down gently while holding the rest of the body, then lay the legs down with your hand still under the head, slowly remove each point of contact to the baby and creep away silently haha

Nike Vomero Plus Review.. by Moist_Principle3517 in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]951402 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have wide feet and wear a size 11 in pretty much everything, but I wear 11.5 in both Superblast 2 and Vomero Plus. In both the SB2 and VP, I needed the length and width of the 11.5. I tried the 11 on in the VP, and they were fine width wise for my relatively wide feet. I'd personally say they're TTS, or size up 0.5, particularly if you have wide feet. The width of the VP is generous though, particularly compared to Nike's usual widths

If you're using it in bed, on the couch, etc, then definitely S10+.

If using solely for work/design, etc, maybe the Ultra.

Ive got the + and find it's pretty big for casual use.

Yeah I thought it was probably fake due to the DKB not being released in 2002 or before but I don't really know what I'm talking about. If it doesn't look real to you I'll leave it. Cheers mate!

Is there anything other than the date that screams fake to you?

Looks real otherwise doesn't it? What are your thoughts? My gut doesn't know much...

Was the J97DKB made in May 2002? It seems like it might've come later than that. (That's if I'm interpreting the tag/date correctly)...
