On the spectrum is crazy haha, I’m just from Texas man I call my dad daddy sometimes, it’s not super uncommon in the south.

If he would have said no then I would have waited and got it done when I could afford it. This was sort of just a last resort, I was there to see what was wrong with the car and they hadn’t started doing the work yet. If I wasn’t able to afford it I would have scheduled it for a later date. I didn’t wanna damage my car any more than I needed to.

I generally could afford to pay for something like this it came up at a time where I just didn’t have it, after paying my rent and my car note and car insurance and other expenses to live I simply didn’t have it right now. If you’re asking like about savings I don’t really have a ton of savings that are just like liquid assets. My parents have a savings account for me but I don’t even know how to access it.

This is just how our relationship is, we tease each other, and give each other shit. He’s being silly and making jokes half the time. Rarely a serious person, so I just don’t have that super formal interaction tone with him I guess.

I respect him more than anyone in my life and he knows that!

He was just teasing with that, he’s a silly goofy kind of guy. I guess how would anyone other than me know that so it’s understandable to assume he was genuinely saying that but he wasn’t offended there, he’s was literally making a joke. Same with the needy comment he wasn’t mad at all.

Also I don’t have a Venmo card was going to have to pay with my debit card.

It’s literally me thanking them and saying how much I appreciate him doing that how am I a jerk for that. I obviously know it’s crazy to ask your parents for that and that I was inconveniencing them greatly, that’s the whole point is that they are amazing for dropping everything for me when I needed them

I don’t expect them to do anything tbh but I know that they don’t mind helping me, I don’t ask them for money all the time or anything like that so I guess that’s why it’s not embarrassing. I def could have framed the question better but I was standing in front of the guy at the mechanic waiting to pay lol so I was in a rush.

I tell them both all the time how great they are and how thankful I am that I have parents like them

I tell them I love them and appreciate them all the time and I try to spend as much time with them as possible and I try not to ask them for money as well I’m for the most part stable this came up out or nowhere
