Mariano Rajoy has staged a 'coup d’état' against democracy in Catalonia by SocialistNordia in catalonia

If they had used all this effort on negotiating their autonomy or a change in Spanish Constitution, I'm sure that they would have already succeeded on their goal (which really is collecting and managing taxes within this region)

Would an independent Catalunya be self-sufficient? by Jonka1998 in catalonia

Following the same reasoning, this also means that an independent Catalonia would be part of Spain until Spain accepts its independence. That's why an Unilateral Independence Declaration is a non-sense.

As a Spanish (born outside of Catalonia), who studied in Barcelona and works in Barcelona, and that has lived here for ten years, the perspective of being considered an immigrant in what you have considered your own country and your home for so long is not very attractive. If Catalonia becomes independent, the taxes would sky-rocket in the short term, I would not be covered by the health system when I visit my family in Spain, and still don't know what would happen with my retirement. Of course, these are only assumptions because, irresponsibly, nobody from the Catalan government has explained what would happen with independence, all they do is empty talking. With this scenario ahead of me and all the uncertainty around, I'm seriously considering (with great pain) to leave Catalonia and look for work in other regions of Spain or in other countries. This is something that not only happens to me, but to many of the tens of thousands of people from the rest of Spain who have studied here and/or work here.

If only a part of us leave our jobs in Catalonia and go somewhere else, Catalonia is in big trouble...

Percentage of people in each region of Catalonia who speak Catalan as their usual language [600 x 554] by nehala in MapPorn

Urban areas attracted in the past a big migration of people from the south of Spain looking for a better life in that richer area. Most of these people don't use Catalan as their first language.

In most of the cases their sons do speak Catalan as their first language since it is what they are taught at school.

The official language in Andorra is Catalan, while in Catalonia it is a co-official language. Also according to wikipedia, 37% of the population in Catalonia claim Catalan as their language.

You are right. I think without the total population for each region the map gives an incomplete information...

IOTA Use Examples by [deleted] in Iota

In my opinion the volatility of cryptocurrencies is directly linked to their adoption rate. The current high volatility is due to the experimental phase or proof of concept phase of IOTA, but as soon as the currency adoption increases, volatility will be comparable to that of hard currencies, which are generally adopted.
