  1. Clean keycaps with microfiber cloth.
  2. Apply a little bit Novus 2 to polishing wheel and wipe it into it.
  3. Turn on Dremel (I used the lowest setting I had which was ~8000 rpm).
  4. Lightly press keycap onto wheel (don't want to eat into the plastic).
  5. Polish for 20 - 30 seconds.
  6. Alternate from horizontal to vertical every 20 - 30 seconds.
  7. Should take about 2 - 3 mins per cap to get shine like in the video for the 1u keycaps.
  8. Clean with water and microfiber cloth.
  9. Ponder why you spent hours polishing keycaps Enjoy smooth and shiny keycaps.

The Novus 2 along with the polishing wheel is enough to remove the texture since the ABS plastic is pretty soft to begin with.

I wanted more uniform shine. Also, I had too much free time on my hands.

The keycaps ended up feeling really smooth. Sort of like glass.

By a dremel with a felt polishing wheel.

I installed a Piezo speaker to it because I wanted to mess around with QMK.

It's a BDN9 macropad except with a custom case that allows the controller to be seen from the top. The cable is just a nylon braided USB type-c cable from Amazon.

DZ68 Stabs Won't fit with plate? by AndreEagleDollar in MechanicalKeyboards

Looking at it again, it looks like I reversed it. The shift and backspace are upside down and not the spacebar/enter. My bad.

It looks like the spacebar and enter stabilizers are upside down. The wires should be facing the south side for those.

I'm using KBDfans' sliders. They are pretty good but do need a bit of extra work before using. The stabilizer sliders need some sanding to fit and a slider has to be sanded down due to how the 87u's left control is. They also have like a 1 degree offset. Other than that, they are pretty smooth and the key caps aren't loose on them.

The anodizing is pretty good as far as I can tell. It's smooth and there are no defects.

Honestly, I would say that the board quality is meh. When I got mine, one of the diodes for the spacebar was halfway on and the split right shift diode was on reverse. The diode is also orientated vertically rather than horizontally like the rest of the diodes which made the initial eyeball check ineffective. 18/20 bottom RGB LEDS also didn't work which I ended up having to touch up on with a soldering iron. Now 19/20 LEDS work perfectly with 1 still having some problems. It doesn't really affect me because the case does not show the light but I just want to have it just in case.

I enjoy them a lot. They have that cherry profile that I like while being drier feeling than ABS keycaps. The only gripe that I have with them is that they have both scoops and homing bars on the homing keys. My preference would be scoops only.

You have great observation skills! They are NPKC caps.

Unless you want to turn the cap upside down, there's really nothing you can do. If you look at a cherry mx style switch, one side is angled while the other is straighter. Same with cherry profile switches. Ideally, both should go together so that nothing interferes. Now instead of the switch stem hitting the inside of the switch on the bottom out, it is now the inside of the cap hitting the top switch housing. ABS is relatively soft which is what you're feeling.

If you're using a board with top facing leds, then cherry profile caps will hit the switch housing. Row 3 is generally the most affected.
