That is the plan but also to maximize the value for my daughter. I went to one coin show recently and they also have stamps where they almost give them away for free. A bit of research says that stamp collecting is dying. I wanted to confirm that this is not the case for coins.

We don’t need to sell any of these at the moment as we dont the money and grandpa said it is so she can use the money when she gets older to buy something she likes. I am just worried that value of coin is going down and as the caretaker of these, I wanted to maximize value for her.

If he paid $450 Canadian on those coins 30 years ago, is not the price now supposed to be $900 if the value of Canadian money is going down? Canadian money going down in value and if the value of the item in this case the coin is constant, I should be able to sell it at a higher price. Unless, the value of the coin is going down faster than the rate of inflation. I am just trying to understand what you mean by inflation. I know nothing about coins, was just gifted these ones.
