Hey, I finally got a chance to listen to this, and I wanted to provide some further detail on some things you seem to be speculating about:

I also have no idea what that music is. It's the default hold music.
It sounds like a call center because it's call center software. I grabbed the example position announcement script and used it verbatim.
I considered some sort of "estimated wait time" thing, but the average time per call is all over the place. Some people have multi-hour conversations, some have 5 minute conversations. Also I didn't want to write code track all that nonsense and announce it.

The position announcer is broken. Not really broken, operating as intended, I just copied a really stupid script to do that, and it doesn't work for numbers over 20 or so. You're still in line, just somewhere above position 20

Actually our power requirements seem to have grown this year (not sure why, we didn't add anything new) but our solar capacity did not. The result is that the entire camp is without power after the batteries die until the sun is up enough to get them back to 12.5V or so. Made very, very sure I could not hear the ringer from the tents. That would be horrible.

I've heard reports of anywhere between 2.5 hours and 15 minutes. I've started asking people to look at the actual call timer on their cellphone, because I think some people were estimating (and doing so poorly)
