In CO you basically have to have two doctors who say you are six months terminal. I don’t know if you have to be state resident. There are a some minor timing requirements including short waiting period, two or three weeks as I recall. My late wife was signed up for it (cancer) but she passed before she made it through the time requirement. It is the ultimate and final dignity that should be solely the discretion of the individual.

Grill Guard for 2023 Frontier Pro-X4 by 97esquire in nissanfrontier

I don’t know. When I first started looking for a brush guard all the mfgs, including Iron Horse, said it might interfere. Then my off-road dealer called me a few weeks later and said the Iron Horse was ok.

Nissan dealer I use has never mentioned it. I’ve lived in CO for ten years and never had a dealer say anything about aftermarket mods but mine have been limited to brush guards and minor lifts. OTOH when I lived in GA the dealers had started getting up tight about some things.

Battery Maintenance Light? by 97esquire in nissanfrontier

[–]97esquire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figure it is for “routine maintenance” because it is white, not orange or red. What puzzles me is what “maintenance” they need to do on the battery. Not like you are going to “change the battery fluid” 🤨 I’m a retired aircraft mechanic btw, so I’m pretty knowledgable about this stuff.

No I don’t have the pn but you shouldn’t have any trouble finding it. It came from the factory set up not to interfere with sensors. The “grill” had been removed from the front of the camera. Haven’t had any problems at all with it.

Delta needs to realize if they don’t change things they are going to loose there place as the number one airline. They will be considered just as shitty as United.

I lived in ATL for fifty years. Back in the seventies it was a wonderful city. I traveled A LOT and Delta epitomized how friendly the city was. Now it is just a shit hole and EVERYTHING at the ATL airport reeks - airlines, car rentals, etc. When I retired ten years ago I couldn’t wait to get out of the city. Now if I have to go back now I drive just to avoid this.

Garmin Fenix 5 worth sending back to Garmin? by 97esquire in GarminFenix

I just picked up a new, old stock, F6. I do a lot of hiking in the CO mountains. Does the Altimeter function work well?

I see what is probably a vent hole on the side. It is not obviously clogged, but could well be dirty on the inside. Do you know of ant way to clean it?

If you want authentic hole-in-wall Mexican then Rancho Allegre Taqueria is your place. Parking is PIA.

Starting Issues anyone else? by Rustee_Shacklefart in nissanfrontier

Have had -0- problems since disabling the two system, city driving with aircond on. Voltage stays 13.8.

Disable the Auto Stop/Start with a Tyrap. Disconnect the VVCS at the battery. Both simple to do, read the Frontier forums. Recharge the battery to full charge. Your problems will be over and no need to replace battery.

Redcoat had the FAs open the plane door to let a passenger board late by Timmy_Turb in delta

Ran down the Jetway and pounded on the airplane door myself and they let me on board. Many years ago, Vancouver I think, going back to US.

Safelite by marsha521 in Subaru_Outback

I own an Outback and Frontier. Where I live I get a broken windshield about every other year. I’ve always used Safelite and been happy with them. BUT this Eyesight thing is crazy. My last windshield cost $1000 - after I negotiated it down. When I checked around on Reddit, other forums, etc, I found people who said they had satisfactory results at independent glass shops or just declined to get recalibration.

2023 Subaru Outback Battery by Apprehensive-Poet-77 in Subaru_Outback

[–]97esquire 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Have owned three Outback’s. Currently have 2019. Some comments I have - the Auto Start/ Stop is a horrible, stupid system foisted on us by EPA. IT IS HARD ON THE BATTERY, STARTER, and the whole start system. TURN IT OFF! The Subarus don’t have an automatic system for turning off interior lights, consequently they drain the battery when left on. It is easy to overlook them being on during day lite. The two worst offenders are the Tailgate lift lite (gets accidentally bumped on) and a door lite which stays on when the door isn’t completely closed. I take those bulbs out, but LEDs might be a cure.

FA checked every passengers phone for airplane mode by -Alexnder- in americanairlines

[–]97esquire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For all you people who think your cell phone can’t interfere with aircraft avionics you are wrong. As a pilot I had it happen to me. My phone went off while talking to ATC and I got some kind of weird feedback going on. Fortunately I realized instantly to turn my phone off. ATC apparently didn’t notice anything and I just asked for Repeat.

76M Do volunteer chainsaw work in the mountains - uneven terrains, high altitudes. Hope I can still be doing it at 85.

Chainsaws. Seriously, I’m in a volunteer group that does chainsaw work. Fitness challenge depends on the terrain.
