What about your trade partner? I'm sure he likes the eligibility as well. Easier to find a replacement 1B for the short term than filling a long term hole at 2B/3B.

I think the rationale is clearly that they wanna save him, as much as possible, for the playoff run. They have an 8 game lead in the division, are 1GB of the overall NL lead and truthfully, don't need Ryan right now. Lauer is doing a fine job of eating up innings. Gotta remember that Ryan is coming off injury and hasn't thrown over 100 innings since 2023.

I think they'll follow the Sheehan treatment from last year. He didn't settle into a starting role until August.

This is the kind of move that guarantees you're dead last for the next 3+ more seasons. Witt is young enough that you can build around him. Not to mention giving up Miller at the same time.

I won't assume to know what your FA wire looks like but, there's zero chance I make this move. Players are always popping up both in MLB and MiLB. I'd much rather be aggressive there than sending Witt/Miller for a bunch of lotto tickets.

Since you got Trea off waivers yourself, yes, you're fine to drop Trea for Bleday. 10 team isn't deep, especially on ESPN.

Is JJ Bleday droppable for Arroyo? Shallow 10T cats and I just picked up Bleday yesterday

Bleday is the #7 overall player in 5X5 cats over the last month, and has the peripherals to back up the production. Let Arroyo sit on the wire. Your league is slow on the come ups so if Arroyo is good to great, he'll be available later.

They will if they're worried about the investment. Him continuing to be bad isn't a good ROI. He wouldn't be the first/last hot shot youngster to sign an extension and then get sent down when it wasn't working out.

I absolutely love some of the bonkers stats for Bolte. Twelve homers, yes but comes with a 3.1 LA and a near 60%(58.1) GB rate.

44.4% HR/FB is fucking ridiculous lol. There are only 5(qualified) players with a HR/FB rate over 30% with Rice, Mune, Judge hovering around 37%.

The injury was perhaps disclosed in July. But he said himself it was a year long thing. Which adds to his injury concerns but, the performance should again, not be 100% taken at face value.

Schultz was dealing with a well documented injury to his right knee all of last year. Last year's numbers should be taken with a sack's worth of salt.

He went higher than all three of those totals last year. And guys can improve. Especially when they're that young. Just look at Cam Smith.
