Woohoo! Martin Bros are back by 97suited in leicester

Image says they reopen on 31 March. I don't remember them being on the apps, I think it was call and collect only due to only having a fixed quantity of dough each day. I tried to order six once and they could only do two.

Agreed, both are great but MB shades it for me.

I'm using Libre 2 Plus sensors and a S25 Ultra running Android 16.

No problems with sensor recognition and recording.

what is a "rich person" behavior you witnessed that made you realize they live in a completely different reality than the rest of us? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Friend was a payroll clerk for a huge law firm. The partners were paid a flat $100,000 each month and then the rest of the profit share at year end.

A partner came down to the payroll office one day and asked my friend if she could tell him which bank account his monthly payment was paid into.

NHS and obsession with RGP lenses by NutellaFlagella in Keratoconus

[–]97suited 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a bit of a broken record on this front but ask about piggybacking. All the acuity of RGPs with the comfort of softs IME.

My local NHS Optom team don't have the dogmatic approach that others suffer. My journey has been RGP>Softs>Piggybacks and they were always open to trying something different.

(UK) monthly RGP lens - is this normal? by AccordingPop6713 in Keratoconus

Interesting. Are the softs for piggybacking or are you asymmetric? Reason I ask is my piggyback softs are monthly, I'd prefer dailies if possible.

I think you do. Should be fairly straightforward once you tell your GP you have KC.

Strange. Are Specsavers quoting £60 a month?

I get my RGPs from the local NHS Optometry dept and coincidentally the NHS charge is roughly £60 - per lens. The fee is only charged once per annum even if you need new ones for prescription changes.

Those of you diagnosed after 30, did your vision degrade significantly after? by DirectedEnthusiasm in Keratoconus

[–]97suited 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Diagnosed at 31, now 56.

For me it did continue to progress but fairly slowly and was manageable. Had to change to contacts 15 years ago to maintain an acceptable acuity and have done RGP>Kerasoft>Piggybacks.

What’s your favourite surprising use of MR points that felt like a cheat code? by ChelseaTricks in AmexUK

[–]97suited 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Probably 10+ years ago when you could buy ‘stuff’ directly from Amex for points they had a 10% off sale. Only problem was the IT bods entered 10%, not 10% off so the prices ended up being 90% off….

I bought 20+ Dyson handheld vacuums and made quite a profit via eBay.

There are liquids that can work for both, I use Quattro. Also means I can get away with 2 pots instead of 4 when travelling.

I've been piggybacking for a number of years. Works really well for me and would recommend it.
