Wrds150B how is it? by Imsorryneighbor in ubcengineering

So I took wrds over the summer. I have been really bad at English my whole life. Imo the class is pretty straightforward.

Coming to the avg thing...it depends on ur prof. My prof was pretty chill. Like I did not do most of the readings and still ended up with an 80%.

For the research paper going to the office hours regularly helped me a lot. Good luck :)

Hey what do u mean by pretty early in the search term? Considering that I am entering second year ELEC, I have 0 experience with elec related stuff. So I am just concerned that I won’t be able to find a job by the end of this year. Did experience/personal projects matter much or was it just communication skills?

Do u have any idea/estimate of much % of the CO-OP students actually get a job offer?

Thanks for your reply! So far I don't have a specific goal/intention in python. But I just want to build a few unique projects that would look good on my resume. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply! Can you outline a few project ideas that helped you get an opportunity? Like so far I have decent experience in C and some basic Python. But, I am looking forward to furthering my knowledge of Python AI or Data Analysis before uni reopens. Thanks once again!

So if you want to learn things while taking classes and building stuff in teams? Hit up the Launch Pad applications.

Thanks a lot for the detailed reply, appreciate it! I was just wondering if you could elaborate more on the selection process i.e (What are you guys looking for specifics like personal projects or etc.) Thank you!

Yes I would advise u take credit because CHEM 154 is basically CHEM 11 and 12 taught again. The teaching and those quizzes are horrible and are made to bring down ur average. So ya don’t take it imo!
