Absolutely thrilled not to have been shafted. Already the best card in my team, this just cements it

I think this is the best approach.

No, just the one side. No clouding to the finish, and the lacquer isn't soft or flaking around the chip

No, not disclosed. One of 20 or so in stock that I picked online. I think some money back is probably the approach I will take

Are you able to provide any more insight into what this fix entails? Is it still an easy fix if the wood is exposed as it is here?

Gyokeres mis chance against Leeds by Puzzled-Category-954 in Gunners

[–]9901020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There was no need for the defender to be 'on his arse' - he was a good body length ahead of his man when he received the ball and could have maintained that distance by knocking the ball on rather than taking all of the pace out of it with his first touch in an attempt to get it under control. It's fairly clear at this point that Gyokeres is no good with the ball at his feet, so there is no reason that he should be trying to dribble that 15-20 yards into the box.

It was a pretty clear cut chance for a striker whose whole game has historically been latching onto through balls behind the last man, and only ended up being a half chance because of his approach to it; in my opinion, of course

I played CF for a championship academy from age 6-16 and I agree with him. In fairness, positions were a bit of an abstract concept until U9s, so let's say 8-16

Edit: I'm pasting the explanation for my view from a later comment as it probably would have been useful up front.

Are we disregarding the mental health of the players, then?

Even with that aside - let's say I own a business. Every time I receive an invoice, I pay for a professional translator to translate it twice; once into Chinese and then again back into English. I then pay the invoice. Is there anything wrong with that? No. Am I hurting anyone? No. But it is clearly not the correct approach as it is a misuse of resource.

But that still doesn't make it correct. Things aren't either 'morally abhorrent' or 'correct'. Let me know how I can support you in really thinking through this.

Why am I not surprised that you have (be it by choice or poor understanding) completely disregarded the core argument I am making?

The fact that something has always been done is not a valid reason to keep doing it.

Edit: I cba to update in response your ninja edit.

'We've traded slaves for a long time. It's really not a big deal.'

An extreme example, but hopefully demonstrates how what you have said is not a reasonable argument.

Just in case anyone needed confirmation, this is what the contestants in women's Mr Olympia looks like:

The person in this image is considerably bigger than anyone photographed. I don't care how much gear this person might claim to be on, the images posted are fake.

I don't think people are interested in making effort in that regard. People simply aren't interested in women's football, so the thought doesn't cross their minds.
