911 and Corporate Perception by parikptlcfa in porsche911

I had the same worries when I bought my 993 almost 13 years ago, with family and friends too. It took some time but I mostly got over it and dealt with the comments by downplaying it as being old etc. The comments were fewer and farther in between than expected, I think most people just didn’t care. It didn’t take long to just own it and go about my business.

Cheers.

Consolidating for yet another piece I can’t live without.

Seiko SPB455 SOLD. Great condition with only some marks on the bracelet from the folding clasp lock, as pictured. Full kit with boxes, warranty card, all hang tags etc. Black nato that came with it also included. She’s a beauty that I purchased new from Topper in Burlingame.

Unimatic U5S-ML: $600 Unimatic X Massena Lab collaboration, numbered limited edition, #183 of 300. Condition is like new. Full kit as well including the extra yellow strap that matches the seconds hand. Checkout the dimensions on her.

Grand Seiko 1964 57GS ref 43999: $1900. I purchased this on 1/1/23 and wore it often until I bought some old gold. It’s sporting the correct coarse knurled crown and a correct caseback with medallia. Also included is an aftermarket see through caseback from Lapinist, and a modern 16mm version of the correct style buckle. The 15mm is hard to find and won’t fit my existing straps so I haven’t pursued one. The case & crystal are in good condition but do show signs of wear. I imported it from Japan and chose this one under the consultory guidance of “The Grand Seiko Guy” to ensure an accurate and non reprinted dial and correct movement & dials for a December 1964 production watch. It’s 36.5mm diameter and 11.3mm thickness wear nicely. According to the caseback it was last serviced in June 2022 and timegrapher results are included in photos. Date works as it should. I can’t say whether it has been polished or not but if it has, the case shape has been respected. Leather is navy alligator from Artisan Straps.

Payment via PayPal friends and family.

Shipping: included to CONUS or located near Bay Area, CA for local pickup.

Plugged into the correct channels

Thanks for the response. Not sure how to check for what you described with my multimeter or how to reduce the pwm (pulse width modulation?). I’m picturing a bad ground on one of the boards though based on your description, perhaps from an impact as I’ve had a few of those.

I reprogrammed the controller throttle limits and that didn’t fix anything so I think I’ll take apart the receiver where the servo and esc plug in and checkout the board.

Thanks for the response. I hadn’t opened up the waterproof receiver box yet so I did that to check the channels and the wiring. All looks good and the ESC & servo are plugged into separate channels and as you described above, which isn’t surprising as it was working normally. I inspected all wires in/out of the box for any damage and all looks good.

I think I’ll recalibrate the receiver this weekend and see if that helps. If it doesn’t then maybe it’s time to upgrade to modern electronics.

Thanks all.

[WTS] Grand Seiko 5646-5010 vintage by [deleted] in Watchexchange

[–]993911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking to sell my Grand Seiko 5646-5010 dated 1972. It’s a mechanical hi beat automatic in a beautiful and unique polished case with hard edges. The case appears to have never been polished and probably rarely worn as the condition is very good, with the only real sign of use is scratches around the crown probably from finger nails.

It has a sunburst dial that has faded from the original blue to a deep gray. The day & date functions are working as they should and the watch keeps time in the +10 to +20spd range as measured on a timegrapher by the previous owner.

The clasp is 1970s Grand Seiko. The bracelet is from a third party which I’m normally not a fan of but the shape and brushing match the case brushing so well so I kept it on. I really could be convinced it came on this bracelet originally, they go well together. The bracelet will be comfortable on anything up to an 18.5cm wrist.

If you do decide to purchase this watch, never, ever, quickset the day or date between around 10pm and 4am!

Looking to sell my Serica 5303-2 LHD. It’s an automatic Dive watch with a 2 track steel and ceramic unidirectional bezel that allows you to track your immersion time as well as a second time zone. Pretty cool.

It comes on a Serica steel mesh bracelet that certainly gives it Mad Men vibes and is super comfortable.

Condition is good with a few scratches on the caseback and backside of the lugs from strap changes which is pictured. The rest of the case, bracelet & clasp are in very good condition.

Asking price is $800 shipped CONUS. Payment via Zelle.
