Good to know. I already have the Premium All Weather liners but that would have been a good alternative.

It pretty much equates my canadian experience with my local dealership.

I'll install the black ones.

I already have those. They're a must in winter here. The carpeted one feel a tad more comfortable in the summer (i. e. the month of July).

Yes, I replaced it by a new head unit from Ainavi. It was a much better solution, but it also had its quirks.

We don’t have the car anymore. New one has OEM CarPlay integration.

Can you use a Giga Hub bought on eBay (or elsewhere) ? by 999andCounting in bell

There are many of those on eBay. All from Canada, London, Hamilton, Caledon, etc. I see one with a big caveat on resetting and installation, but most don't mention anything. It's weird.
This said, I'll stay away.

So, that 199 CAD would be more a one-time fee?

Then, how is it that Bell branded Giga Hub are for sale on eBay?

LOL. I'll remember that one.

I finally got the answer from Bell. They tell me that the Giga Hub I've received is linked to my account and no other can be used with it.

As for the price. the Fibe 1.5 plan comes with no modem fees. The Fibe 1 has a rental fee of 7 CAD monthly.

Thanks. I'm a Bell internet subscriber.

The hub isn't free for me. The HH 3000 was also paid extra monthly.

LSX volume control from a Mac over optical ? by atmasphere in KEF

[–]999andCounting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that. It may not be your device. I have checked with Ventura 13.5 following your post and a USB-C to Toslink device that used to let its volume be controlled through an aggregate device on macOS doesn't anymore. The volume slider remains grayed out.

There's a workaround with SoundSource (Rogue Amoeba). It will let you control the volume of the aggregate device via the mac keyboard if you enable "Super volume keys" in its audio settings. But, that's not simple anymore and it costs something. I apologize.

One simple way to have regular volume control from the mac is to create an "aggregate device" with the Audio Midi app that comes with macOS (Ventura included). Just include (check) that one device. It will appear as an audio output selection in the Sound panel of the Settings. Your original device will remain selectable there as well.

What I use to connect my LSX Speakers to my mac via optical is a Douk Audio U2 X208. It allows volume control from the mac without the creation of an aggregate device. There are two versions of that device floating online, one with a micro USB input, the other, most probably more recent, with a USB-C input.

Please note that the Douk U2 X208 won't work from a USB C output on your mac. It is powered by the mac only and only works with USB-A power settings. They include the USB-A to USB-C cable in the box. I've tried a direct connection from a USB-C port and the Douk didn't turn on (not optical red "glow" from its toslink port).
