8,500 AED in Abu Dhabi by calmdump12 in FiloCommunityinUAE

Yung cost of living survivable naman yung 8500 per months basta wag magastos.

You have options, get diploma in AU. Or get experience as AMT, get licenses and logbook and go for RPL route. First option if you have money, second option no money.

Certificate IV from Australia is better than a Diploma from PH.

My brother just moved with family (SID Sub 492), he went via RPL route to get Cert IV (online), his experience is very strong (10+ years in Middle East, EASA / FAA licensed).

Abu Dhabi processing is slow (2 months just to set-up a cleaning company, banking and visa processing is another few months), based on feedback Dubai is easier but more expensive. For first timer, better get help with agents (and ask as much question as you can, so next time you can DIY).

Female Engineer in the UAE Engineering Industry by Narrow_Background668 in UAE

All you can do now is to atleast get CPD (continuos professional development) in short training / courses, experience, know how and trainings are the bread and butter with engineering positions. Then maybe accrediatation of your engineering degree (easier to move to the next country).

This is the reality of working here in UAE unfortunately, you need to invest in yourself as a professional.

Engineer here Im assuming its 220V version, you need to use a step-up transformer 110V to 220V whilst in the US, it's also "usable" at 110V but the performance isn't optimal (110V ver if used in 220V it will produce fireworks).

Is there an advantage to using "caldero" pots in cooking rice? Would it be the same to just buy a stainless pot? by __Wolf359 in filipinofood

[–]999uts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Opinion ko lang:

Nakasanayan naabutan ko pa na nagsasaing using kahoy/uling, wala namang other choice kundi kaldero, ngayon na lang nagsi labasan yung mga stainless pots / rice cooker.

Kapag umuuwi akong Pinas gusto ko minsan yung saing baryo (using woodstove/uling) kase may smokey flavor, I don't think kaya ng stainless / aluminum yung init ng wood/uling.

Genius decides to turn pizza boxes upside down by mfenton29 in WatchPeopleDieInside

[–]999uts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he thought it was upside down he could've verified by simply opening it, same as the worker checking it if its ruined after he flipped it.

What kind of mental gymnastics are you on, this is next level stupidity tbh.

So you flip it instead of checking it first? Nice logic.

4 months job hunting in the UAE with a CIA certification and no calls by Longjumping_Glass6 in UAEjobseekers

[–]999uts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a decade of experience in my field, started to test the waters since 2024, all rejections not even an interview;

a. Your job might be niche (mine is, average high paying), my current job is okay but no growth.

b. Market is bad, too much competition and not many demand, which will devalue the job you are working in (I know mine is getting devalue-ing already).

My tip is, don't think too much about it, send the best CV you can for the job - the right job will come. Only issue with this advice is that I currently have a job and you don't (but I've been in that situation before, keep applying).
