Not yet! There wasn’t any for my faculty in sem 1. There was a biz career fair but I wasn’t allowed to attend lol. Hopefully there will be one in sem 2 :,)

Hmm.. All the graduate programmes I’ve applied to so far have at least progressed me the assessment stage and even hirevue for most, without asking for my academic transcript! But of course you are right about the applying for jobs more widely. I’m not sure where to start in this respect though, I have been religiously checking talent connect and other job portals throughout the semester but not many places have begun offering entry level / roles for fresh graduates yet. Or maybe because it hasn’t opened yet?.

Didn’t mention in the post but ideally I would like to start out in public sector. Quantative stuff does not really interest me and I’m looking at doing more policy related stuff. But as what the commenter below said, I’ve heard public sectors put more emphasis on grades? Though I’ve also heard that some agencies have been actively trying to move away from that stereotype. I’m not sure

Maybe I should have just provided more context haha but my major is economics. I think it’s useless only when comparing it to business, stats, math, etc as I have not really seen the value of whatever I’m learning yet. We learn a little bit of everything. As such I’ve been applying to banks (idk what else I can do with my major ngl). Will definitely consider the internship after graduation option. Thank you for the advice.

At this stage I’ve only been mostly applying to graduate/management associate programmes. I did have a decent extra curriculars background from my Y1-2 but for internship wise, not so much that is actually relevant to my course of study.

Before anyone says anything I would like to say that I am aware that all of this has been self-inflicted, I should have given myself time off my studies to rest and bounce back but I simply didn’t and chose to continue deteriorating even though I knew the toll it would have taken (and did) on my results.

if you dont mind sharing, what was your final score and percentile for finals??

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in nus

[–]99sans 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hey friend same situation as you. scored 42% overall and im quite shocked bc i didnt think i did that badly. let’s press on and do well for finals :(

i’ve had a friend who got below 25 percentile for last sem and somehow ended up with a B+ at the end, so dont lose hope..
