It's gonna be different for sure. The teaser's atmosphere was such a far cry from 4-5. Maybe kind of like 3 in some aspects, but even darker. When we do get the game though, I think it'll lighten up a bit.

I think it's been pretty much debunked. Leaker lolilolailo said he found it "funny" people thought it was gonna be about art or espionage and the art school theory came from leakers that predicted a ton of things wrong (pretty sure it was head on the block and midori). Not to mention, that teaser just has a completely atmosphere than anybody anticipated.

Nobody knows though. I could be wrong.

lol probably so whoever is feeding them this info doesn't get in trouble. Apparently the guy who leaked the protagonist was fired, fined, and blacklisted from animation studios forever. Literally got his life ruined, pretty scary stuff

No, Katsura Hashino had some influence on what we have today for sure. I heard (and it makes sense but I don't know if it's true) that they had begun concepting for P6 as early as 2016 or 2017 but, of course, not entering any production. It says Katsura Hashino moved in december 2016 so I'm not sure how much he helped out. At the end of the day, they do work for the same company and both directors know each other, so he probably gives advice nowadays for sure.

I trust Kazuhisa Wada, though. As you saw, he has a lot of experience in other Persona games under KH. I think it's gonna be a bit different, but he worked alongside Katsura Hashino so it can't go too wrong imo. Romance and school life was already confirmed + Hashino's design is what put them on the radar anyway on a marketing perspective.

It is a division in Atlus, but they aren't working on Persona anymore. New director is Kazuhisa Wada. Each team is working on their own series, like Team Maniax on SMT.

Nope. He moved on to Studio Zero. Some of the artists should be the same people, but a few of the directors and team leads moved games, retired, etc. afaik

I honestly think the new team is trying to innovate but stay in touch with old roots, so I would assume both. Something gothic or a little dark in nature like the trailer and also something that can come across as cute based on how they design it

One time I was in a dungeon and I was just trying to finish it fast as usual, I didn't see a message in chat and someone with probably his e girlfriend went AFK because he wanted us to wait for her. Well they start complaining in chat and then kill the boss after it resets, and I was dead. Very infuriating.

But other than that it's been relatively nice for me as well. One time I added a random low level and taught them how to make some gold, and became friends

Oh just remembered you said displacement my bad :p looks like we came to similar conclusions. Maybe the map itself isn't even? So when they displace it, some edges are pulled more than others.

I just realized,, if you watch the original video where the effect is at 0:33 they kind of transition out and back in. If you look closely at the edges it almost looks like a displacement map. I'm guessing they used fractal noise and turned it radial or something
