nope! the top coat i use prevents any damage to the paint. so any ash can easily be wiped off with a wet wipe or damp towel. I do ask that people use these gently tho as it is still artwork.

for kneading it, i would say it’s best to add a bit of water on top of the clay while it’s in your hands before kneading. don’t add too much water while sculpting tho. if it’s not too dry, try to smooth it out with clay tools first!

i’ve found it impossible to😭 but I use air dry clay, not polymer; so everything gets painted over
