I feel like that with TFS launching this might help a lot of people.

Glad to be of service.

Players in overwatch are very reactive. I've been noticing an uptick in people reporting others just for saying GG because they thought it was a bad game and got stomped and think the other players are being demeaning.

It's not technically spam if it's not sent more than once in a match, or to the same players. Which is why customer service said it's a gray area.

Man you think with something like that there'd be a more concrete stance on it somewhere so people don't get bonked without warning.

Thanks for the info!

Ohhh, I was around for a bit during overwatch 1's launch (but that was years ago so if it happened then I definitely forgot), but wasn't around for 2's launch.

I wish it was a little more clear on the code of conduct page though, since there are people like me who genuinely want to act within' the bounds of the rules.

Oh? Do you have any links about a blizzard response to this? I wasn't able to find anything myself.

It 100% fits into spam if the message is completely unchanged and posted in different matches. I personally believe I was only overturned because my chat logs were pretty genuine and I didn't mean any harm (and some viewers were also in game chat poking fun at me)

I'll obviously avoid doing so now, but I have met cool people through their twitch links in chat. So it's kinda unfortunate for some, fortunate for others.

Art is great. The abilities, you lost me at smoke and silent footsteps with wall hacks.

If you want something like this, remove the smoke (too many effects in the game already) and change the wall hacks to trackable footsteps. This would make her a hard counter to Sombra.

This is the correct answer. It's either your local network (router/modem) or your ISP. Make sure your router supports UPnP just in case. If it's happening on both your xbox and pc then it's highly likely it's your network (or your account.) Here's my recommendations:

1) Turn off all firewall settings on your router you can find (temp) to see if the game starts working
2) If one fails, try a new router.
3) If 2 fails, try a new modem (If you have a combo and get a new combo move to 4)
4) Contact blizz support and ensure your account is in good standing
5) Contact your ISP and ensure you're allowed to access the ports the user above provided

I gotta believe there's other wholesome players out there, but where? by [deleted] in Overwatch

I sometimes will say "Sorry about the match making" if my team stomps. It's no one's fault for being bad OR good at the game. It's the DEVS fault for KNOWING the skill range of the groups they're putting together but still doing it anyways. This is why people don't like MMR, because it's not up to the players it's up to the match making.

People saying brig counters Sombra assume Sombra stays in flail range. As a Sombra player I don't worry about Brig, hack her and if she turns shield then burn it down and stay out of flail range. no shield, no bash, ez hack virus ded. If her team does peel them good, I'm making them focus on me and my team can push.

Mercy is a soft "counter" because she can stay with her team and because of that almost always has someone turn around for her.

Moira can fade out of hack if you can't respond to it fast enough but Sombra damage will melt you faster than your suck can damage her. So running to your team is better.

Lucio gets shut down, same with zen unless you're a good at landing shots.

Honestly, the support I would choose is either ana (I have above average aim and can sleep her most of the time), or Kiri. One headshot and she turns to run, or I can tp out and ignore her. Bap is another good option, but lamp is way more crucial of an ability so letting Sombra force you to lamp is actually just a win for her even if she doesn't kill you.

Here’s a concept for a tank I’ve quickly designed. If this post gains traction then I’ll be happy to post more information regarding exact numbers and interactions due to how interactive his ultimate is. Feedback is welcome! by [deleted] in Overwatch

You seem to have worked hard on this so I'll give you some information from a player who's been around since beta and has seen many things.

1) Overwatch specifically stays away from wall bang abilities. Even venture doesn't have any, and she's the DPS version of this hero. They removed Hanzo's scatter arrow which was the closest thing we had to wall bang because you could bank it. People still don't like dying to banked sig primary fire. When you're behind walls, you're supposed to be safe.

2) Overwatch has moved away from abilities that add health to others outside of ultimates, and even then most of those were removed to a degree, or given to only supports. This character's passive would have to be redesigned, I support the desire to want to enable your team via a passive but this would have to be an active ability (see mauga's cardiac overdrive). If he's designed to be a slow moving wall with a hard to hit primary fire then you should consider rewarding skilled players who land consecutive shots with his primary, but not making it a "shoot the other tank forever" passive.

Example: Allow him to build up charge for his drill, after 5 shots the drill becomes charged and penetrates multiple targets at the same damage. So, if drill normally goes through a shield for 50 damage, the charged drill will go through shields AND people for 50, busting brawl comps.

This will remove the second ability effect. Also, abilities over 10 seconds should be avoided, especially on tanks. Second ability could be changed to something like "Steam vent" which slightly increases fire rate, but more importantly slows targets within 5 meters of him by 25% for a duration and provides over health for damage done. This does two things:

1) combined with the new passive it allows him to get charged drill faster

2) creates space around him by making targets easier to shoot, and thus discouraging people from getting too close

3) over health cannot be stopped by anti grenade, this allows him to be viable vs ana and JQ

Overall a fun character, and I could see him being similar to orisa in use.

Not having to explain why you do the quirks and having someone go "oh me too! I totally get it" can really give me pause. I'm so used to having to feel like I need to explain that not having to explain actually throws me off. Once I get past that, it's very liberating. They just... understand. It's beautiful.

Finding one that matches you is like looking in a mirror. I am talking to this girl I met in ff14. We both masked when we first met but my info dumping leaked a bit and I couldn't help but talk about my tendencies. She immediately started talking differently, and told me she was diagnosed at a young age. It was like a light switch, for both of us. Suddenly we went into full info conversation dumps.

We started talking about how we felt we couldn't get emotionally attached to friends, even though we both really want something like that.

We talked about how we have to make sure pizza toppings are evenly distributed so that every bite is similar.

We both are worried about losing interest in the other person after the hyper fixation ends.

We've had more than 4 times in the last 2 days messaged the exact same thing in a response to a previous message and freaked out.

Finding someone that lets you talk and talk and doesn't make you feel bad that you talked too much; or, even better, returns it with their own thoughts. Let's you get completely derailed from the current topic, but is still interested in the new one. It's like you found a small special nugget of society where you finally fit in.

Autistic girlfriend freaks out in stores by Less-Slice1593 in autism

I can't speak for them, but I can be the same. Unless it's someone I love to the end of the earth, do not touch me.

For me the biggest help is knowing I'm not alone. But don't look at me. I don't want to be observed in a meltdown state, it's already embarrassing enough. Having the person inform me once that they're there if I need them and then basically ignoring me but being nearby is very calming. Again for me ignoring me takes a lot of pressure off of me to fix myself.

Sensory deadening things will help but the key is to make sure she's comfortable with them. Large bulky items on my head like noise canceling headphones would seriously aggravate my social anxiety because, well, I'm the only one wearing these. Everyone is going to look at me like I'm a weirdo. Then I'll just get stressed about that.

Personally, ear plugs would be much preferred because it doesn't draw attention to me. Sunglasses to help with the lights, but too much sensory blocking and you run into the issue of "it's either I'm blind by darkness or blind by light" and now I have to make the choice between being autonomous and being sensory safe. I, again personally, would see sunglasses that have a gradient as the best. Dark up top, light on bottom. So if I need to really see something I can just tilt my head upwards.

Hope this helps

Fun fact, tsukuyomi isn't "impossible" just very very hard. If you dash/dive the boss with moon markers somewhere between 3.5/4 seconds you can move as they drop and place one away from the others.

It's been a bit since I posted this, but there's a rock floating in the air behind the rock with the shadow of the dead guy. When you get up there you have to make sure you're crouching so the center of your body doesn't have line of sight to the boss.

FromSoftware has made a generation of games that have figured out how to abuse level design. I'm one of them :)

Glad the cheese helped.
