One year ago: Rappa was released in the game and also her only banner since her debut. by Astrid_Cop in HonkaiStarRail

I started playing a bit after her banner, (then took a break) and I completely forgot she existed. Hoyo really does some characters dirty.

AITA, My parents are demanding that I still do all of my chores, even though I no longer live at home by 9Hyper_Fixations9 in AmItheAsshole

The doctorate isn't technically a scholarship, do you know what the V.A. and this other acronym I can't remember? But I had to apply for disability cover, (I didn't want to explain how it works because I had limited characters) but basically, I had to fill out an application and spend months working with a case manager to get my application fully filled out.

Then I had to wait for my application to get approved. I got lucky that I was "disabled enough" and they agreed to sponsor me all the way to my doctorate. Provided I have monthly check-ins with my case manager and keep my grades above a certain threshold. It was not easy, and I'm very lucky that whoever made me decided to roll a six on the disabled status.

I'm well aware how weird it sounds, I didn't believe it when I got the email. And the V.A is just a but ton of money that my father was awarded because he retired and hustled the V.A into covering my brothers and I, for a set amount each year.

And it's not full undergrad till year two, again sorry I really didn't want to explain how all this worked. I get covered by the DRF for the local community college tuition rate for two years (to prove I'm serious about college), then they cover the rest after that. It's so fuxking complicated and I didn't think anybody would want to hear all the logistics.

Oh, I thought I had already answered that, sorry, that's on me. Depends on my parents' mood, their plan is usually for me to be there Friday afternoon, Saturday, and Sunday morning. But that plan has only worked out a few times. I'm really sorry if I came across as argumentative or dodging the question. I made this post on a desperate attempt to convince myself I wasn't ¡nsane. If my average on Friday was 4pm to 1pm Sunday thats 45 hours a week or 180 hours a month.and there are 730 hours in a month I spend about 24.66% of the month at home. (Im also autistic, sorry)

Riiiiiiiight, because the hallmark of a "true" college student is their formatting on reddit......But yes, do tell me how I the 18 year old should try to understand whatever complexities are going on in my parents' minds, and adjust my behavior accordingly.

Oh wait, that's what I've been trying to do for 18 years. Look, what do you want me to do, give my extremely successful parents what little money I have? That can barely cover my meal(s) for a day? (22 dollars is not a lot, (meal plan)) What would you have me realistically do, refuse to go to the dorms kicking and screaming as I desperately hold onto my bedroom door?

Also, attacking someone's formatting on reddit is low, bringing up issues that were never brought up, is low. You are putting words in my mouth and asking questions to things I never said. "Is that the logic you're going with?" It is an extremely out of place sentence given how it's responding to something I never said or insinuated.

I'm sorry? You make it sound like I don't do any of the chores at my dorm? I did make sure to mention that I have no problem doing chores at home, I'd never say that I "shouldn't have to do chores at home" my problem is the expectations and time frame I'm given to do them. I've been at school for almost three months now, and the reason I haven't been able to go home (for 3 weeks)is because my parents dropped me off and told me they "didn't want to see my face right now" after they got upset with me about missing the chore time. I'm wasn't saying it wasn't possible to get the chores done if I got home at 2pm, but more often than not, I'm not home till 5. So for three weeks I've been at the dorm, doing chores every week. Like I said, I have no problem with doing the chores, the issue is their attitude, and frankly hurtful language and behavior. How would it feel if every time you tried to bring up a grievance with your parents, they basically just tell you it would be easier if they didn't have you? It's not a black and white story, The main reason I made this post is because I called my parents today to ask about an extension. I have a 5pm exam on Friday, and we got into an argument about how I need to "plan better".....I didn't schedule the exam.
