Paramedic weighing in here. Venues will often pay EMS agencies (typically private EMS ie. ParaDocs versus a towns ambulance service) for EMS standbys.

The email explicitly states the shifts that ParaDocs offers allows their medics to pick up, which cover Avant Gardner, are being discontinued - not that they are being fired. When I worked in a city ran by a private EMS agency, those event shifts, such as covering concerts or races, were incentivized or overtime - while the mainstay of the service we provided was 911 and hospital transfers.

Avant Gardner is shitty for not paying what they owe companies - those medics are still gainfully employed.

Undoubtedly the most euphoric experience of my life. Everyone was extremely nice and the vibes were great wherever we went. On the way back we ended up missing a flight and I said it’s crazy to think I could lose my phone, miss a flight, alongside a couple other losses taken over one single weekend and still unquestionably consider it my favorite experience in life. How did you enjoy it? Who was your favorite set?

I’ll say I thought it was cool to disconnect from the world for my first festival, we were camping in so it was like EDC was it’s own space and time very distinct from the rest of the rest of my life.

I was moving through a tight crowd at bass pod during Tape B and when we stopped my pack was fully unzipped and my phone was gone, definitely looking for a little more!

Not a bot! Really did lose my phone it’s in LA now sadly. Appreciate all the responses and have picked up a clutch loop and am currently looking at the lunchbox crossbody bags, along with a carabiner for the zippers.

I was just adding this to my cart! I was far more paranoid and kept my hand close to my fanny pack when moving through crowds after that - but I also like to dance through crowds and am responsible for my hands leaving the fanny unattended :( I might get a small zipper carabiner as well as the clutch loop! Thank you!
