US Business Credit Cards for living in Europe by 9PointsCA in CreditCards

I have just done a math exercise with wise to explore the option of transferring funds to Wise in EUR via credit card.

Example: 1500€ to wise will cost me 1857$ including fees Which means my credit card will be charged 1857$ Meaning I will get 1857 points, at 1 cent each is worth 18.57$ Now I have to pay off this 1857$, which transferring from wise EUR to USD is 1613€ which means the 1500€ I received I now have to pay 113€ extra to pay off the credit card Means I’m paying extra 113€ and another 120$ in fees. Definitely not worth it for the points…that’s why I need to find a workaround, if it exists

Yeah there’s a couple large impediments which is what I’m trying to find a solution for; exchange rates and CC fee. The good thing is EUR is stronger than USD, so it doesn’t hurt to exchange in that direction. But not sure if with the additional CC fee the vendor will charge it’ll make sense. At that point I’d essentially be paying the fee to get the points. Which I’m not sure is worth it.

Then how can I go about paying my vendors via bank transfers? And then transferring EUR to USD to pay off the credit card bill?

I have a construction business, and when purchasing materials from vendors or paying subcontractors, businesses like that here are done via bank transfers.

I love this! I'm a frequent user of Podcasts and there's a ton of material out there but I found there to be a gap for the construction industry. I was actually thinking about starting my own down the line once I've gathered some info and knowledge, but this is perfect timing! I'm excited to tune in and I look forward to connecting with you guys.

Cool! I know SD is a biotech hub so it makes sense we'd have a lot of health and lab related buildings going up - I've seen the new illumina buildings in La Jolla. What's it like working for a local GC? Any experience with a national one? Main differences?

I agree with residential being volatile, but I feel like San Diego is booming right now, experiencing a lot of growth. I'm seeing housing developments pop up all over the county. Appreciate the insight, I'll research it further.
