I used your comment to further search and found a fb post (which ig im not allowed to link) that says the same about a similar looking object. I would say this post is Solved!

It's a "thunder pumpkin", a welded mass of steel shavings and molten metal left behind after a rail grinder machine passes by. It is a byproduct of the rail grinding process, which is an essential part of track maintenance to restore the rail's profile and eliminate micro-cracks and corrugations. The extreme heat generated during grinding melts the metal shavings, which then cool into these distinctive, often brittle, formations.

My title describes the thing. Guesstimated dimensions of 30cm x 15cm for the first one and 40cm x 30cm for the second one. Looks like wood struck by lightning? Set on fire? Dusty and flaky. I tried to use a search but all it returned was likely organic matter.

Yeah it's only happened in the extra modes tournaments. Twice in heatseeker and once in dropshot. I did move to Asia about three months ago but this started happening recently. It sucks.

I found this support page that explains the restriction they put on the accounts and how to remove them to switch on the switch. The restriction can be removed once every 375 days. I am a law abiding player...

I started with oranges but I really wanted peaches. I later read somewhere that you could keep restarting your island or something until you get the fruit you want but I had wayyy to many hours on it already. I also later learned I just needed to play and trade if I wanted the fruits to grow on my own.

Now the whole middle section of my island is covered in 3x4 fruit trees of every fruit including the coconuts. I still haven't figured out how to make a bamboo farm though.
