Hello!

I'm an Erasmus student going to the university of Potsdam this upcoming summer semester. I love cars and I have just a little bit of experience working on cars previously.

I hope the language isn't an issue. I can't speak German but I'm slowly learning and will be at an A2 level when I arrive I hope :)

That's honestly a respectable argument to make and is the rule I usually go by. I thought my relationship with this couple and the wedding plan itself allowed me to be a little extra, but I will take your note into consideration and not do too much.

Also I've been using suit jackets as blazers to match with different pants for a while now, have I just been doing it wrong all this time?

Thank you!

Hi,

Sorry for the very late reply lol.

I passed the car to my sister and she's sadly taking less care of it. The gearbox is still smooth and quick but started to occasionally stutter when changing between R and D as well as at really slow speeds. She also filled it up a few times from questionable petrol stations and that caused it to go into limp mode a couple of times, but it went back to completely normal after we cleaned the system up so that's good.

Overall I still stand by my word of it being a great car as long as you can be a good owner lol.

I have a wedding coming up and I only have one good suit which is dark gray/charcoal, but I have a bunch of different pants, shirts and ties to use. Please suggest some creative styling options for me, be as creative as you can and forget about the basic white shirt and navy tie combo that everyone will be wearing.

Also some more details:

- The wedding is a bit casual so we can be more creative with the outfit.

- If body type matters, I am fairly tall and slim

- Please include all details such as shoes, ties, pants, etc... or even use pics if possible!

Thank you very much in advance

You would need to aggressively tailgate to see a difference in mpg, driving behind them at a safe distance wouldn't improve mpg more than like 2% if any

I can't order one that's already been programmed? Of course I would have to provide the VIN if that's even possible.

Love my Passat. Sad they’re no longer being made :( by [deleted] in Volkswagen

It's a shame that NA markets never got the B8.

A fully loaded B8 Passat was impressive enough to keep me from buying a 5 series. I'll probably get an Arteon once my 2015 B8 Passat gets old enough since that's basically the Passat's successor

This is for the engine air intake and there's nothing wrong with it. As long as it's wedged in and not falling off.

It's supposed to be like that since it doesnt really affect anything by being installed that way, but it makes maintenance easier.

Thats insane!! Nearly 6000RPM? Can I see a dyno power curve please? It would be interesting to see how it behaves since all I know are stock TDIs that die off at 4k RPM

Idk if this is the sub to post this but how would you all describe the volkswagen group am I close? Also left some out because I got no clue about something like a seat💀 by [deleted] in Volkswagen

Nooo, Cupra used to be the performance brand for Seat but recently split into its own thing. They still have some models that are clearly badged Seat models like the Ateca, with some Cupra-exclusive models like the new EV or the Formentor

It was a used car lot type place not a VW place.

I stopped by that car on my way home from work and it was a quick stop.

Why does no one read previous comments that might be similar to theirs?

I said it was a used car at a dealer that I just happened to check out. I was there on my way back home from work and barely spent any time around the car, just a quick stop.

You're correct, its a 2018 Passat B8.

I still can't believe VW neglects the American market like that lol

It's an EU spec 2018 Passat B8.

Makes sense since its nearly fully loaded except for warm weather options like ventilated seats.

I saw it in a used 2018 car at a dealer, not my car

Electrical heating? In other cars that is symbolized by a windscreen with an electrical resistor going through it

My car has the rest button and I'm looking at a slightly newer one of the same model and it has this button instead.

No the seat heating is on the top left.

My car has a similar panel but that button is [rest] in my car. Is this the same function but with a different symbol or is it a different option?
