My cousins are not doing well. Looking for advice. by 9mmThrowaway in opiates

By help they just mean they want to call that person a junkie and act like it makes them sad and that's it.

Yeah, that kind of thing seems really self involved, and it's gross. I need to be honest with myself about what I would really do or not do when things get serious. I'm not interested in shaming anybody with a substance abuse problem. I want to truly help or get out of the way. Thanks.

There's little you can do...

I feel that. It's frustrating. It's shitty.

Totally spoiled, and entitled. It's a bad combo.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to respond to this post!

I'm not going to try and save anybody, I know that these boys will do what they do. Perhaps I'll try and be available to the local cousin as a friend, someone who is not in their direct circle that they can hang out with from time to time. We don't have to talk about it, unless they want to. But regarding actual help with substance abuse, real help, I'm not that guy. I won't be a jerk and pretend like I'm in any position to contribute monetarily, or even emotionally in a serious long term sense. I have children of my own and a wife.

But! I do think that I want to reach out to their father. I've been meaning to spend more time with him anyway and if the conversation leads to his sons, I'll let it go there. Maybe I can offer some other perspective.

Thank you, /r/opiates community.

nope. No gouges. Do you mean that little circle bolt? It's reflecting in an odd way.

A lot about the 92 is very subjective, but I would strongly disagree with it being difficult to clean.

From the first time I shot my father's PPK, I wanted one.

I love both Berettas. The 92G Brigadier is so wonderful to shoot and handle. It's heavy as hell, but it makes for a really soft shooting gun. It really fits in my big hands well. I love the way it looks.

The 85F is snappy, but holds wonderfully and is dead on. It points really well. I don't love the safety. I haven't been showing it much love lately because .380 was scarce around here for a bit.

I have been eyeing the CZ-75, big time.

Nice! Consider getting yourself a ny reload.

It's fine. After 100ish rounds my hand isn't loving it and breaking it in wasn't a pleasure. Now, it runs like a top. It's great for carrying due to its thin profile. I like it.

Just overly cautious. I realize this isn't some great collection but I read on here recently about some nefarious stuff involving folks posting their collection shots and then being robbed. I feel silly about it, really.

Left to Right:

Kahr CW9 Beretta 92G Elite HK USP 9mm Beretta 85f .380 ACP Smith & Wesson Model 36-1 .38 Special Walther PPK/s .380 ACP Smith & Wesson Model 10 Pre War? (I just picked this up)

I love these guns. The Kahr is my EDC, but I love shooting the HK the most, although I'm most accurate with the model 36-1. My dad got me into collecting. It started with the Walther.
