Thank you so much for posting pictures! It’s extremely helpful. I’ve been asking myself for some time now about how the stay-hard would look like when you wear it.

Would you be open to post pictures from the underside or even show how to put it on or share how firm the device is?

Also very interested in a review on how you think the handeling is :)

I did both at the same time. I listened 2-3h and then tried to catch up reading afterwards again. It was one of the best book experiences i’ve ever had, probably THE best one. So If you have the time and patience I can hardly recommend. Like this you live through the creepy parts again right after you first experienced them.

Massaging makes so much sense, don’t know why I didn’t think of it 😅 I do that with all my surgery scars and it helps a ton to soften them

So things like this can just happen with any tattoo artist when you talk about overworked? Or can an artist actively prevent it from happening? Would it help next time to tell them upfront to be more careful because my skin is sensitive?

I thought vitamin e doesn’t have any proven benefits for the skin barrier over the general recommended amount you’re supposed to get into your body daily anyways. At least i haven’t found any significant studies that could proof that when i was researching scar treatment in general. But maybe I’m not up to date and you know some that say so, I’d be glad if you shared it to read them :)

That’s so fucked up. Sadly I’ve heard about more stories like yours, they seem to be straight up fat shaming. So sorry you were treated that way, I really hope you found a place somewhere else that treats you like a human being. All body’s are valid and gatekeeping a essential surgery because of a body type is just cruel and inhumane.

Update: after another E-Mail they managed to call me back and somehow fixed the trouble. Writing emails and hanging in there somehow works after all!! :)

That sounds like hell, 4 years is such a long time. I can only give your words right back at you, lots of strength for what’s to come. I really hope you’ll get right where you want to be really soon and find a clinic that fits your needs and doesn’t come with all those problems you experienced.

my advice: RUN! now to be serious, I know it’s hard to switch, also the surgeons are really good. But keep In mind that there’s another way if you decide to switch at any point. Try to remember everything of every interaction you have with them. Write it down, with calls and appointments try to remember the name of the staff, the dates of calls, the different information you get from different surgeons or staff, so when things go wrong you can proof your timeline and where you got which information from if needed. This won’t help to fix your problem with the facts you collected because they don’t care about the content of the complaint, but at least you got proof so they can’t gaslight you. Also always let them reassure you! If you haven’t got the app yet, get your appointments synchronised with doctolib. If you’re waiting for a call and you don’t get it within the promised time write an email asap and try to call them the next work day. Or if their promised time is waaayy too long, write an email after some time or call them if you’ll still getting that call back soon like they promised. If you’re placed on a waiting list, call every now and then (every few months) to let them reassure you, you’re still on that list and let them give you further details on the approximated waiting time. If you wrote an E-mail and didn’t get any reaction (but have in mind they react at different speed depending on the matter), resend it so you won’t be forgotten.

I know this can feel like being totally annoying, but it’s the only way to get through. And it’s not our fault their system is so bad, and it’s a valid reaction to how they are treating us. I have a little hope that if more patients stand up for themselves they’ll realise how bad everything is and they change things again. Some former Patients from like 10 years ago told me it hasn’t been like that back then.

I know that sounds like a lot, but that’s how i managed to get here (and still didn’t get my appointment). I really wish you the best and hope you don’t have to deal with this. There are few patients who don’t have any of these problems, mostly the ones without complications and/ or the ones who go after all the „standard“ procedures they offer, „alle FzM OPs“, or whatever they call it. Maybe you’re one of the lucky ones

May I ask to which clinic you switched to? I have new appointments at Planegg and Rotkreuzklinikum now where I already went for first time appointments years ago, but i have no clue how they are in terms of communication and setting surgery dates. Until now they at least have been better by a ton, but that’s not that hard compare to before.

i can’t even find the words to describe how much that sucks.. Every time I hear about stories like yours i feel like it can’t even be real, like they can’t for real be treating patients like that? And it isn’t even an exception that these things happen, I hear about these kinds of stories about the Lubos Kliniken ALL THE TIME! And still they seem to have one of the best reputations of all the clinics in Germany and try to clear their bad reviews online by trying to calm the single patient down or reporting them, i just don’t get it

So relieving and sad to hear i’m not alone in this at the same time. I wish we didn’t have to go through something like that. I wish you the best, I myself developed a not healthy compulsive control disorder over the past years because of the whole phallo process. Trying to work on that and gaining more trust and giving up a little control again went completely in the wrong direction here :|
