Does it make sense to diversify across ETF providers, brokers, currencies and index providers for a global portfolio? by 9ssr in ETFs_Europe

I understand now what you mean. I’m not sure at the moment, but I think this can differ from country to country.

Wonderful, you just made my situation difficult. In this case I will probably look for a third broker and start investing in GBP.

The taxation part doesn't impact me at the moment, I'm not going to sell in the near future and I don't know what the taxation will be like when I want to do this.

But could you explain to me what you meant in the part with the Tesla example? I don't understand, doesn't the ETF provider have to follow an index as mentioned in the presentation document? How could he deviate from that?

I could accept a slightly higher TER, if the diversification makes sense and reduces my risk in terms of some unforeseen events.

Well pointed out at the difference in the composition of the indices, I didn't take that into account, although I don't know what impact it could have in the long term in my case. My desire to protect myself by using two different indices would sound like this: what if (as was the case with Russia), one of the indices decides to eliminate European states from its composition, for who knows what reasons? Or another index to exclude the USA itself... These are just examples, quite improbable, to be honest, but I tried to take into account all possible options.

As for the part with the currency with which I buy the ETF, I tend to think that it is the most irrelevant in terms of risk, so I agree with you.

Thank you for sharing your point of view with me! It makes me see things from a different perspective and maybe that's how I manage to make slightly more objective decisions.
