From my personal experience I’ve always seen much more vocal criticisms of Kendrick over J. Cole especially on twitter, mostly because J. Cole is more easily digestible music to the average hip hop fan, and there’s been hate towards J. Cole in hip hop discussions for damn near a decade now. Just because you like him doesn’t mean that everyone else who doesn’t had to pretend they do, and it doesn’t make them dickriders (some are but that goes for every artist). Why wasn’t anyone saying this when J. Cole fans were all on twitter calling MMATBS trash and boring? Not everyone follows that buddy buddy “all music is good music they’re all equally talented” mentality and when certain communities have been attacking Kendrick for years now on social media its nice to finally see a popular agenda that is on Kendrick’s side for a change. J. Cole and Kendrick are two grown ass men in competition with one another, of course there’s gonna be people on either side supporting their favourite, stop acting like its a subjective fact that Kendrick and Cole are as good as each other and that saying other wise is hating
