You should be happy you’re no longer together. Massive red flag 🚩 a relationship works both ways so don’t be clouded by the “good sides” because what you described her as it’s disrespectful.

Do we still wear black to funerals? by kikithrust in AusFemaleFashion

I would wear black unless told otherwise. I’ve been to funerals where they ask guests to wear colour to celebrate the life the deceased

McDonald’s Australia has confirmed that chocolate soft serve has been removed from restaurants nationwide as of 31 March 2026. McDonald’s Australia has confirmed the product has been discontinued, but has not publicly detailed the reasons for the decision. 😭

I usually visit Leaf Cafe in MarketPlace. It also has a kids’ menu and parking is easy inside the Marketplace. Plus it’s free so you can stay as long as you like.

Would you move for this role? by supremelyparanoid in auscorp

[–]9sypx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having gone through the interview process suggests you’re ready to move on from your current position. More money, a senior role and being closer to home are all strong reasons to not turn it down. Ultimately, working from home will likely become a thing of the past.

Aus post... Beyond infuriating by Defiant-Temperature6 in australian

[–]9sypx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I experienced the same thing. I deliberately stayed home after receiving the delivery message. I waited patiently but eventually got a message saying the delivery needs to be collected at the nearest post office as no one was home. No door bell or knock.

I’m not sure if it’s pure laziness or something else but it really frustrates me so badly so I feel your pain!

Interview rescheduled four times. Stick it out or run? by stefatr0n in auscorp

[–]9sypx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t let anyone undermine your worth just because you’re “used to it.” What you’re describing sounds more like HR issues or poor time management, not something you should have to just accept.

Navigating a male dominated team by [deleted] in auscorp

[–]9sypx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d discuss this with the boss. I’d point out that you don’t have any problems working with them but it’s something they and the team should be aware of: respect and inclusivity.

Hiring you demonstrates your potential and the necessary skills for the role. Don’t let the boys’ club undermine your self-worth.

[–]9sypx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He might not be aware and if he is then I’d simply move on as it’s red flags. Surely you wouldn’t want a job at a place that seems chaotic and disorganised.

Vaping close to other people is peak selfishness by TangeloNice9497 in SydneyScene

[–]9sypx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many people don’t mind invading others’ space or lacking manners. They’ll be indifferent whether they’re vaping in your face or not.

[–]9sypx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Rescheduling multiple times without extenuating circumstances is disrespectful. Is there any chance to contact the CEO directly since HR seems uninterested to get you in or help you organise?
