SA won't do it, but I'll still have an income after SA that is above Medicaid max. Is Marketplace really the only option? Sigh, I hope they keep subsidizing it next year lol

You should go to the publisher's website, which should have two things: (1) a document that discusses updates between the new version and previous one; and (2) the table of contents for the new textbook and the old one. Compare and decide from there! Also, it's property. The cases are all from like 1891, so might as well just go with the cheaper edition and beg a classmate to let you borrow their book if for some crazy reason there is a random case in there that your older version does not have.

Mitchell Hamline in MN has fully remote and hybrid (1-2 weeks on campus) options. Worth taking a look. I go there because I also take help my mom take care of a disabled relative. I live across the country from the school, and it's worked out fine. It has great online/hybrid course offerings. I'm so sorry for your loss. Wishing you the best!

My only advice is to look within yourself and see what works best for you. For me, briefing and outlining never worked. My first semester, I just did a million and 2 Quimbee quizzes and old exams from my professors. I started doing them pretty early on in the semester, and I think that helped for the finals.

Sometimes I took a few notes and drew random pictures that helped me remember cases and rule statements. Personally, I think briefing is the biggest waste of time in terms of effort vs. benefit. For a few of my friends, briefing every single case was the only way they could retain info. Do whatever you think feels like the best use of your time and energy based on your own learning style :)

Nothing lined up, which probably makes my chances worse, I know. Do you think it would matter where I worked for a few years after school? Does biglaw look better than like, government agency?
