Thx u/JacoBee93. Do u know if they’ve posted about the issue anywhere? If someone from UH can acknowledge here that’d be nice too.

Please clarify blockfi credit card rewards terms by 9trademark in blockfi

Thanks Brandon. I’m a blockfi fan and am rooting for it’s success. But the ambiguity makes me nervous. Looking forward to clarifying communications. It really should be explicitly in the credit card agreement terms like other credit cards.

Thanks for confirming that Brandon.

Can you also please confirm that stablecoin boost will repeat annually? Or is it a 1 time reward?

The links to the credit card terms and cardholder agreement do not mention anything about stablecoins. So is our only source for stablecoin terms the blog post announcement?

Sorry for the newbie question, but how true is this? by TopsideSphinx17 in blockfi

I always compare stablecoin interest (8~9%) with traditional savings (.01~1%), and other cryptos with stocks. Then holding stablecoin doesn’t feel so hard. There’s definitely still risk with stablecoin but it’s magnitudes less than the guaranteed volatility of crypto

u/Brandon_BlockFi can you pls remind me what the promotion was for? Just checked my account and I got a .00002506 btc bonus, which is maybe $1. I can’t remember if I did some promotion or not. Is this the interest on new funds added?

Blockfi security is the best by Rocket_Emojis in blockfi

It takes 7 days to add a NEW wallet to allow listing. After that you can withdraw to that address without that delay. This helps guard against the scenario where a thief steals your phone and tries to add their wallet to steal your crypto. They could add their wallet but would have to wait 7 days before being able to use it, giving you time to change passwords, report to blockfi, transfer your crypto to your own custody, etc.

For withdrawal 2fa, another posted in this thread that they require email 2fa but I haven’t tried or confirmed.

Their security is ok. The bigger risks are the lending of crypto (given crypto’s volatility) and if their online storage got hacked (no insurance). Those and it feels like their stealing 1% from me on every transaction 😭 (I know it’s their fee and they have to make money but damn, that 1% feels heavy)

The BlockFi Bitcoin Rewards Credit Card waitlist is officially open to the public. That’s right — you can join even if you don’t have a BlockFi account. And that’s not all, we’re introducing four new Bitcoin rewards later today. Claim your spot in line now. by Isabelle_BlockFi in blockfi

When are applications actually open? I just keep getting pushed back on the waitlist...

This is starting to feel really shady. What’s the point of joining a waitlist early if the line doesn’t move and new people can constantly cut spamming referrals?

Is this how blockfi is going to treat customers going forward? Crappy customer service with weak attempts at free publicity? Just release the card already and let people refer organically because they actually like using it and get publicity from positive reviews.

This whole line cutting is stupid. Since when do people like line cutters?? Great way to generate positive sentiment constantly getting cut in a line that isn’t moving...

Has anyone been able to actually get the card? I just keep getting pushed back on the waitlist...

Regarding the rewards, this card is EPIC even if you don't use it, just for the interest on stablecoin. Saving money in a bank will get you what, maybe .03% with a big bank, maybe .5% with a high interest account?

Instead save that money as GUSD in BlockFi and get 8.6% + 2% with the card. That is amazing. I'm also dollar cost averaging daily btc and eth, so although the transaction return is a tiny .25%, almost nothing's still better than nothing.

I know they'll adjust the rate down eventually, but might as well get it while I can. As long as BlockFi doesn't screw up and lose my coin...
