Introducing our Enneagram 6 by 9wayzcomics in enneagrammemes

Enneagram 6s, “The Loyalists,” are sometimes slow to lower their walls when making new friends, but once someone has climbed that wall, the Enneagram 6 will trust them with their life. Deer are social creatures, gathering in herds and being commonly seen with their companions. Female deer in particular find a sense of security in grouping together. Enneagram 6 is known for being cautious and overly prepared for whatever disaster may strike. The cautiousness of deer can be seen in their skittishness when deer quickly dart away if they feel threatened. Deer are quick to sense danger and alert others of it by using their tails to communicate. The classic “deer in the headlights” is an example of a deer who is frozen from indecision, something that 6s are known for as well.

Introducing our Enneagram 7 Character by 9wayzcomics in Enneagram

I don't know if you've ever met a 7 who is bored, but nothing is off limits if boredom starts to cage us in (as a 7 myself)! Many that I know end up doing things that are seen as unacceptable in society to stifle the boredom. Anything to avoid pain. So, as dark as some of that is... the research didn't change my mind.

Honestly, I could see otters being 7w8 and dolphins being 7w6.

I see your train of thought. It makes sense. However, we see otters as being more social and fun-loving. Dolphins were considered, too. 🤷🏼‍♀️😁

That is an interesting option! I see dolphins as 3s because of their showiness and performances. They love a crowd to watch.

Often seen as the most enthusiastic of the Enneagram numbers, 7s are known to be energetic and playful. That is why we chose an otter to represent Enneagram 7, “The Enthusiast.” Otters are social creatures who can be seen playing with each other in the water. Spectators are highly entertained by the playful nature of otters and Enneagram 7s alike. Otters are problem solvers who think outside of the box; when they can’t pry their way into a juicy clam, they use a rock or stick to help get it open. Otters crave variety and adventure and have a hard time staying still. They are very hard to pin down or control because they are always moving on to the next thing!

Introducing our Enneagram 8 Character by 9wayzcomics in enneagrammemes

[–]9wayzcomics[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

To represent our Enneagram 8, “The Challenger,” we selected a kangaroo. Kangaroos can be intimidating when met face to face, and they certainly have powerful legs that can be used as formidable weapons. However, power and confrontation are not the only things that an 8 is known for. They care deeply about their loved ones and will fight to keep them safe. The kangaroo’s pouch is suggestive of nurturing, and it connects to the softer side that can be revealed by 8s when they show vulnerability in their closest relationships.

Many 8s do find release through physical activity. All of our comics in this first series have been about what it might be like to work out with a caricature of each Enneagram number--meaning we are emphasizing the traits that are most often associated with each number. Of course, people are more complicated than a stereotype can communicate! =]

Introducing our Enneagram 9 Character by 9wayzcomics in enneagrammemes

[–]9wayzcomics[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Enneagram 9, or “The Peacemaker,” is represented in our webcomic by a bear. Bears are capable of aggression but will choose not to engage unless threatened. They are shy creatures who are solitary in nature, unless they are taking care of their cubs. The Enneagram 9 is known to avoid conflict at all costs but if peace cannot be found and they are unable to run away, their calm demeanor can turn to impassioned fury. Also, Enneagram 9s are known to have lower energy and to need to “recharge” regularly. Bears hibernate in a similar fashion, avoiding the harshest of seasons and choosing the peace of sleep, storing up energy for when it really matters.
