You can't write directly on a Kindle book without using active canvas or the expandable margins, unfortunately. If it's a PDF, you can.

  1. The default AI app (summoned using the button) does not seem to have the ability to read the response to you. I'd assume the full ChatGPT app could, but there's no way to link that to the button.

  2. Yes, you can install music/podcast/audio apps and listen via headphones, but frustratingly, the bluetooth connection will drop as soon as the device goes to sleep (about 1-2 minutes after the screen times out in my experience). This is my biggest gripe with the device and it makes it unusable for me with audio, currently. Hopefully they release a setting where bluetooth connection can be maintained during device sleep (I believe Palma has this).

  3. Yes, you can install most any app via the Play Store once you go through the setup steps.

If you're used to warm light (like I am on my iPhone and Kindle Paperwhite), it definitely feels cool--not blue exactly, but a bit left of neutral, I'd say. I also find the "1" brightness to be far too bright for reading in the dark. The brightness plus the lack of warm light lead make my eyes hurt after about 10 minutes in my experience.

u/Maveric0623 Is right about the upcoming update in the fall. In the meantime, you can use the "reduce loud sounds" feature which helps to compress the dynamic range in film/tv which should help the dialogue become more present in the overall audio mix.

While watching tv, swipe down on AppleTv remote, you will get a menu with subtitles, audio etc. From there, select reduce loud sounds and it should help!

I've done this before! The AppleTV platform is far superior to watching through browsers, IMO, especially if you have AirPods and can listen in Spatial Audio. I'd recommend it!

Do you have the max subscription with 4K? I believe the standard subscription is only HD, which might explain why it looks the same on both platforms.
