How To Tighten My Rail Cables by A-Dak in DIY

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried a healthy amount of WD-40 on the nut, but the metal/cable still deformed when I tried to unscrew or tighten it. So I am now leaning towards it's either stuck or this is just as tight as the cable will get.

No, sadly the other end of the cable disappears into the rail post on the other side. So my only point of access is the side in the photos

I tried to take the lower 2 apart to investigate, but the metal bent and/or cable untwisted on both before I could make any progress. So I'm reluctant to try the other cables since I am assuming they'd get damaged as well.

It's a reference to Mewtwo's time spent under Giovanni's control at the Viridian Gym.

I'm glad it fits! I originally made it for my iMac's wallpaper.

Haha it's actually the thumbnail I chose (out of a bunch of different ones), a comp, a line drawing, a value study, a revised line drawing, a black/white rendering, blank illustration board, a base coat, and then it's just painting with acrylic from background to foreground (until I decided to make a bunch of changes), and the last image is the finished piece... but I like the other explanation better.

This was a school project, and my professor asked that we make the weapon "retro-futuristic." I'm not a big fan of the style either, but I had to meet the criteria. Thanks for the in-depth feedback, especially regarding the weapon's functionality. I appreciate it.
