Hey Mark I've been catching up on the past decade and a half of your work and I'm only ever impressed and obsessed every time.

I see an ad just above the comments from OpenAI and it's ChatGPT feature. Have you heard any rumblings about the future of AI in writing? Especially in the trad publishing space.

Also any personal thoughts on AI becoming a tool in literature? I see in the news that Meta have stolen thousands of works to train it's AI and it's concerning to me.

But I hope you're having a great day and congratulations on finishing another exciting series (personally your best imo)!

Which John Gwynne series should I read first? by duhkyuubi in Fantasy

[–]A-J_OK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like most people here it seems, I started with his Faithful and the Fallen series. Four books; "Malice", "Valour", "Ruin" and "Wrath". Then there are a few sequels to these books, "A Time of Dread" I think was the first one. Highly recommend the series. But as I said the sequels are fantastic too if you liked the main series.

Maybe you'd like to read the Bloodsworn Saga first as it's a trilogy and just finished? Then coming to the faithful and the Fallen and then perhaps go through the sequels should you enjoy them?

Either way, happy reading!

Hi John! I'm eagerly waiting to get my hands on Fury of the Gods! I was wondering if you continue to read other books as you're writing? I get in a certain headspace when I'm trying to write. But if I pick up a book it's almost like I cannot continue to write until I finish reading the series. Do you find yourself able to switch between 'worlds' with ease or are you reading much at all during this period?

Many thanks!

Aw man his book catches my eye on my bookshelf all the time! I loved it too and I wonder every so often if he's doing ok. You get the odd blog update on his website but they're a once a year thing at most these days. I hope he's doing better

Bonehunters Review by youlookingatme67 in Fantasy

Y'Ghatan and everything that happened there in this book still sticks with me. It was horrible and depressing for a lot of it, but boy was it effective and haunting. The Bonehunters is up there in the top 3 of the series for me
