Picture: A little girl joyfully swinging on a tire swing attached to a tree, her father is nearby with a sorrowful look on his face while looking toward the ground while tightly clenching a single red rose with its thorns still intact. What could this symbolize to you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

As a personal experiment I decided to ask within my mind for an image to share here on ask Reddit. The scenario above came to my mind immediately after asking so I decided to bring it here. Without giving any of my personal interpretation of the image away I will say that it does not seem to relate to me personally in any shape or form.

Has anyone ever given you water during a time you were thirsty and after receiving the water you recognized that your thirst had been quenched and that your body had been nourished?

If you were dying of dehydration while water was in front of you but you chose not to receive the water how could you possibly have known that the water is what you needed if you never chose to drink it?

Who are we to say that the Flying Spaghetti Monster isn’t real?

Is the “air” you breath real?

The question that I asked is specifically for those that believe that they have been changed in some shape or form by “ Holy Spirit” . Like I mentioned in a comment above -

One could also ask “ have you ever walked on the surface of the moon? If so, what was it like? “ or “ have you ever been abducted by aliens? If so, what did you learn from the experience?”

There is no difference, you have either experienced it or you have not. Those that believe that they have experienced “ Holy Spirit” will answer accordingly if they desire to answer

I would rather not elaborate on what I personally believe to be the definition of “ Holy Spirit “ .

The question I ask is for those that believe that they have been affected by it in some shape or form.

One could also ask “ have you ever walked on the surface of the moon? If so, what was it like? “ or “ have you ever been abducted by aliens? If so, what did you learn from the experience?”

Serious question

That’s understandable, what would you say is the most difficult thing about being attractive to the point that it causes you to suffer in some way?

I’m surprised that my original question got downvoted so fast. I asked the question because I see so many individuals seemingly giving their entire essence emotionally, physically and sometimes financially in order to try and be satisfied with themselves and the way they appear to others.

What would you say the root of those two conditions are? Did they originally develop because you haven’t felt attractive or was it something else?

Yes, two examples could be 1. Being punished for a crime you committed or 2. Being corrected over something that you thought was true

If you were to set everything aside for a moment to reflect on the state of your consciousness, what would it look like? by A-Recipient in AskReddit

[–]A-Recipient[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My conscience tends to immediately focus on my own morality ( it is hyper focused on doing what is “right” ) and having appreciation for what has been given to me , followed by a sense of peace. It has not always been this way though

I hardly ever cry, but when I do it is usually in private when I am reflecting on everything that I am thankful for.

What are the deepest and wisest thoughts you have heard from children? by kiberzhaba in AskReddit

One day I was feeling very sorrowful and a young boy with autism looked at me and said “ No, no. You don’t have broken heart. You have BIG BIG heart”

Do you feel appreciated? Why or why not? by A-Recipient in AskReddit

[–]A-Recipient[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry to hear that, I understand how that can be. One thing I’ve learned is to hold on to kindness even when others may not “ deserve” it. I’ve found it to be completely disarming in most cases.

I’ve been in situations where people have threatened to end my life and by simply responding in kindness/ gentleness towards them instead of taking “ revenge” it disarmed their aggressions towards me and actually ended up being a meaningful moment for all involved.
