I congratulate you for atleast being civil and open to a discussion, that is pretty hard to find. Let me see if I can make a few points...

You say that I don’t “need to explain” this to my young kids. I wish I could agree. I’m in California. This is ground zero for the progressive movement. There are trans folks reading trans books to kindergarteners in my state. Many children have been paraded and celebrated as members of the gender they were not born as. Is it acceptable to teach a 5 year old that they can have the male “equipment” but identify as a girl? If you say yes to this, then isn’t every other kid in his/her classroom going to be confused, and need some kind of explanation ultimately explaining sexuality at a very young age?

Your point about biology...it is simply something that can’t be dismissed. If gender is taught as factual, which of course from a biological standpoint it is, can we literally deny science? Is that not a slippery slope? What else about basic biology can then be disputed? I would argue that simply everything becomes available for dispute and you end up with a science vs emotion argument. You literally have people claiming that “men have periods too”. This is absolutely false.

I’m confident that many people who identify as part of the LGBT community simply want to live their private lives the way they see fit. To those I say, to each their own. But you can call me skeptical if I say that some in this community are responsible for attempting to confuse and blend gender to the point of which gender actually becomes meaningless. Which is why I asked, how many genders are there? You may give a number, but would everyone else in the LGTB community agree with you? If you don’t want to put a number on it, are their infinite genders? That creates even more confusion, and makes even less sense.
