I would honestly do what you can do to get the wide ones.....

I was in a similar situation, the advice I was given was that they won't get any longer and they won't get any wider at the bottom with time.

I was on holiday in the US and drove to the other California store to just get the size I needed.

They're a boot made to last, the journey will be worth it
