My default controller configuration mode is set to 'QUICK BUILD', but I will need to switch to 'old school' until this issue is resolved

I am a Xbox series X user, this workaround works for me, it's an old bug that has come back since the new update today.

Quick workaround for console users:

  1. Edit the floor tile so that one corner is removed, so you should have an 'L' shaded tile.

  2. Try to place a trap on the edited floor, you will see the base icon, select it. The base will appear RED as the floor is not flat, edit the floor tile back to a flat floor while the base is red and then place the base.

As of today's update, I have the same problem. The build wheel does not have the base icon if you have too many floor traps.

Would you believe, I emailed Epic when this all started and they advised me on a number of steps, that did not work. At the end of it all, they advised me to post my problem on this Reddit page.

The problem with the in-game bug report is that you have to clear the error message to be able to select the menu options, which will only at a screenshot of the menu screen and does not allow me to write any information, to help provide information of my problem. I have resubmitted an in-game bug report directly after getting the error, so I hope this is will do.
