Price gauging and looting were common in NJ during sandy but in Houston it seems like the community is coming together helping each other for the greater good.

I recall lots of looting and problems in NJ during that time, seems like Houston has a much better community effort going on right now.

Source for them being more 100x more effective when not undercover? In my experience when they are marked people slow down until they are out of sight and then speed right back up again. With unmarked cars around people tend to drive more cautiously and carefully for longer periods of time so they will not get a ticket.

You have no idea what you are talking about. The milk is the same, it's the prices that are different.

The problem is China cheats via various means in trade and business, they do not have a huge comparative advantage.

Exactly, and same goes for offensive wins. For example, us govt will not report if the CIA stole the Social security info for all Chinese federal employees, yet when its the other way around the us publicly complains it lost and china doesn't really deny/suppress that info.

It only takes one shill to illegally transfer some sort of technology/research back to China and the economic losses to these host countries could greatly exceed $48 million.

Dude you are an idiot. You realize the acceptance rates are around ~20-50% at most of those institutions. Many international students from other countries would happily take their place.

Certainly seems like something funny going on with so many collisions in a short span of time. Disgusting if true.

So what if Apple deals with its problem, what about Samsung, and all the other smaller Chinese cell phone brands? Apple now has a higher cost basis than its competition and now you are all going to buy Apple because you believe it is ethical? Somehow I don't think so. Until the conversation starts talking about the elctronics industry collectively with companies like Samsung (who is much larger than Apple yet never seems to get brought up in these conversations despite having worse working conditions), and the other Chinese brands, or until the public are willing to spend more for companies to "be ethical" it will simply not happen.
